Potatoi – “100p”

In between shows on an Asian world tour with his band wave to earth, Potatoi is back to fans’ delight. “100p” comes after almost a year-long break with the release of his debut album Toy  under the record label WAVY. Formally known as John Cha, the singer and bassist has been releasing solo music since 2017. However, it wasn’t until 2023 with the release of his song “Popsicle” that Potatoi was born.

“100p” focuses on finding love, while the accompanying music video shows Potatoi putting in the work to better himself in every possible way for the relationship to flourish. From working out to studying for hours, he is determined to impress his lover as he sings, “In your arms I found my way / Oh, what can I say? / ‘Cause you’re my hundred percent.”

For the rest of February, Potatoi will be traveling around Asia with wave to earth on their “play with earth! 0.03” world tour and will be returning to New York City for The Governors Ball in June.

ONE OR EIGHT with pH-1 – “KAWASAKI”

ONE OR EIGHT are starting off the new year on a high note with yet another remix of their track, “KAWASAKI.” ONE OR EIGHT are a eight-piece global boy group hailing from Japan and are only a little less than half a year into their career. “KAWASAKI” was conceived as a pre-debut performance video track, but ONE OR EIGHT was determined to upgrade it for the track’s official release. On December 6, ONE OR EIGHT collaborated with GRAMMY-nominated rapper Big Sean for the track’s streaming service debut. However, the hype for “KAWASAKI” did not end there — ONE OR EIGHT had another rap star in line to deliver for the track. On January 31, H1GHR MUSIC’s pH-1 hopped on for a remix of the track. The Korean-American rapper collaborated with UMI, P-Lo, and TZUYU in the past and is now bringing his own flair to “KAWASAKI.”

“When I first heard ‘KAWASAKI,’ I felt like, ‘OMG, I’m going to spit some things on this track right away,’” pH-1 shared in a press release. “KAWASAKI” went under yet another revamp as this remix features a stronger, faster-paced bass. Even throughout ONE OR EIGHT’s verses, pH-1 also drops some adlibs, showing his deep involvement in this remix. This remix drops bars like “Pockets be getting mo’ thicker / I’m sagging my leg is asleep from cramps.” ONE OR EIGHT teased that this isn’t the last of the star-studded collaborations, and there is more to follow in the coming weeks!

Omar – “I’m Not a Boy”

Omar explores everything they are and are not in their new single “I’m Not a Boy.” This marks Omar’s first single release since the release of their album Every Night Fantasy this past October. Through the new single, Omar expresses themes of gender-fluidity and self-expression while reflecting on their rejection of the social norms. During the chorus they sing, “I am an alien out of this world / I am no thing you can put into words / I’m just an alien looking for love.”

Omar began their music career in 2013 in the boy group FO&O and is widely known for their role of Simon Eriksson in Young Royals on Netflix. Even while on Netflix, Omar became known for their angelic voice with songs like “Simon’s Song” and their cover of “Remember” by Seinabo Sey and Jacob Banks. Omar’s solo career has been flourishing since their debut in 2018, and with their newest single “I’m Not a Boy,” they continue their momentum of releasing moving and impactful music. The Venezuelan and Swedish singer can be seen throughout Europe this month on their “Every Night Fantasy” tour beginning February 2.

Jessie Reyez – “Goliath”

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, artists like Jessie Reyez are already getting everyone in the mood with her new single “Goliath.” Diving into slow and sensual tones, Reyez takes the listener down the path of devotion. The single was matched with a live performance release filled with stunning black and white visuals and yards of hair leading to the star of the passion-filled song. Expressing just how deeply she loves, she vows to “pull every star from the sky down” and “square up with any Goliath” to prove her feelings. The velvety beat is met with equally alluring vocals, giving the song an R&B and Soul feel with a hint of jazz.

Always booked and busy, Reyez ended 2024 on tour with Jhené Aiko, alongside other powerful women such as Shenseea, UMI, and Kiana Ledé and finished it off with the release of her holiday single, “MERRY NOTHIN.” Having been in the music industry since 2017, Reyez has been hustling to make a name for herself and with releases like “Goliath,” she is bound to be a game-changer on any playlist.

JENNIE ft. Dominic Fike – “Love Hangover”

After the empowering girl-anthem “Mantra,” global pop sensation JENNIE returns to the stage with “Love Hangover,” a slow-burning pop-R&B track dripping with sensuality. Featuring Dominic Fike, the song delves into the intoxicating yet toxic allure of a love that you just can’t quit, no matter how hard you try. The hazy, almost hypnotic production mirrors the emotional roller coaster of an undeniable attraction that you know you shouldn’t have. With every verse, JENNIE wrestles with temptation. The raw, self-aware lyrics like “I swear I’ll never do it again, until you came over,” echo the cyclical heartbreak of a love that keeps drawing you back in, only to leave you with an all-too-familiar love hangover.

The official video, shot in Mexico City and directed by Bradley & Pablo, portrays JENNIE in a cycle of tragic dates with the same man, played by Charles Melton. “Love Hangover” is a seductive taste of JENNIE’s upcoming album Ruby, set to drop March 7. Don’t miss out on the chance to experience it live with her “Ruby Experience” shows, and catch her solo Coachella debut this April!

ALLMO$T – Yellow

@allmostmusic

‘YELLOW’ OUT NOW EVERYWHERE! ⚠️🌐🎶 #fyp #trending #reels #explore #newmusic #allmost #yellow

♬ Yellow – ALLMO$T

Filipino rap quartet, ALLMO$T, are back with another infectious hit sure to grace social media feeds. ALLMO$T debuted in 2018 and is composed of members Clien, Crakky, Russell, and Jom. In their rap and hip-hop forward songs, their lyrics infuse English with Tagalog. ALLMO$T’s 2024 track, “Boyfriend,” became the team’s breakout single. After the song’s release in June of last year, the music video earned over 20 million views and over 50 million Spotify streams. After such a pivotal year for the team, ALLMO$T are ready to captivate 2025 with their music.

Their newest track, “Yellow,” follows their signature hip-hop influenced sound. The beat, produced by Young MLV, is slower in tempo, making it a perfect song to chill and vibe to. The song is driven by a catchy chorus and followed up by a heart-driven verse from each member. The chorus repeats, “It’s obvious she’s acting like a playa / I can see the things you’ve been keeping  / You don’t even have to say it to me / You’re shady without trying.” As the same warning color of hazard signs, the song is appropriately named “Yellow” because it represents the cowardice of their love who isn’t being upfront.

BUBBLE TEA AND CIGARETTES – “Lemongrass City”

“Lemongrass City” is bringing retro and groovy spirit to playlists everywhere. The single was originally a bonus track exclusive to the Japanese-version CD of BUBBLE TEA AND CIGARETTE’s second album we should’ve killed each other. Having been written at the same time as the other on the album, the track is similar in length and subject, but holds a more upbeat tempo, causing the duo to keep it separate.

Though BUBBLE TEA AND CIGARETTES members Andi and Kat are from Seattle, the “Lemongrass City” lyric video was shot on a picturesque autumn day in New York City and directed by the duo themselves. The musicians can be found moving from place to place in the video surrounded by parallel airy and hazy vocals. However, this is not the first time Andi and Kat have self-directed a music video: they also self-directed their first music video five years ago for “Go Downstairs to the Blue Moon, Buy Some Fried Chicken,”

In 2025, BUBBLE TEA AND CIGARETTES are bringing their bedroom pop sound to fans across Europe and the United States on their “we should’ve loved each other” world tour.

Anuv Jain ft. AP Dhillion – “Afsos”

Anuv Jain and AP Dhillon’s latest collab track, “Afsos,” is the kind of song that seeps into your soul and refuses to leave. From the very first guitar strum, “Afsos” immerses you into an emotional whirlwind of regret. Jain’s delicate melancholic vocals set the stage for love slipping through your fingers. The lyrics capture the ache of the weight of unspoken words and the quiet devastation of realizing what’s gone can never return. Jain sings, “Your love / I could not understand a bit / I was crazy.” Reflecting on his past selfishness and the pain he inflicted, he only realizes the depth of his mistakes now that he’s left to wallow in his guilt. Wrapped in soft acoustics, this track is a sorrowful exploration of regret and lost love, merging together Jain’s sentimental, heart-tugging lyricism with AP Dhillion’s genre-blurring vocals. Play it loud, let it linger, and prepare to have this one on repeat long after the last note hits.

Over the years, Anuv Jain has made a name for himself in the music scene, garnering close to two billion Spotify streams and over 19 million monthly listeners. His breakout single “Baarishein” has amassed over one billion streams across all platforms, paving the way for his other chart-topping hits like “Husn” and “Jo Tum Mere Ho.” For Jain, “Afsos” marks a career milestone as his first-ever collaboration. Returning to his Punjabi roots, Jain wrote this song with his mother by his side, who guided him in expressing his intended message.

Lyn Lapid – “Coraline”

Ever walk into a room and feel like the human equivalent of a glitch in the simulation? Lyn Lapid gets it. She channels that restless, “where do I even belong?” energy into her latest release, “Coraline.” With a sound that drifts between dreamy alt-pop and melancholy indie, the track is an anthem to the ones who feel like they never quite fit in, whether it’s at a party, in a friend group, or even in their own skin.

Lyn captures the feeling of being trapped between worlds, much like Coraline, who stumbles into an alternative reality that’s not as perfect as it first appears, in the film of the same name. Despite the semi-upbeat melody, the lyrics of “Coraline” pull you into a state of existentialism. Lyn constantly repeats, “Everywhere I go / Nothing feels like home,” her soft voice aching for her rightful place in the constantly moving world. It’s the kind of song that has you gazing out the window at night, city lights blurring as you wonder where exactly is your place in the world.

Lyn Lapid, a Filipino-American singer-songwriter, first gained recognition through her viral TikTok covers. Quickly transitioning from social media sensation to rising star, Lyn carved out her space in the indie-pop scene with her debut track “Producer Man.” This past November, she released winter wishes, a four-track EP arriving just in time for the holidays.

Mina Okabe – “Always Hurts”

Mina Okabe’s “Always Hurts” is a delicate unraveling of emotional armor, a soft-spoken confession wrapped in gentle acoustics and wistful melodies. With her signature airy vocals, Mina captures the weary heart of someone who has said goodbye so many times that letting go has become second nature.

The song drifts between quiet acceptance and a deep vulnerability. In the chorus, Mina admits, “The feeling I’d get if you left / I don’t wanna know.” The walls built to protect her feel fragile. If this person leaves, she knows she won’t be able to brush it off like before, and that realization is more terrifying than the hurt she’s grown used to. The bridge ties it all together in a devastating question: “Does practice make perfect?” If saying goodbye is second nature, does that mean she’s immune to the pain or has she just gotten better at pretending? Alas, she chooses to embrace ignorance and all its bliss.

Following “Making Plans,” “Always Hurts” is the fourth single released from the Danish-Japanese singer-songwriter’s upcoming sophomore album. Her debut album Better Days was released in 2021, followed by a Japanese version of the album in 2023. Be sure to add this emotionally-guarded track onto your playlist and keep an eye out for Mina’s new album this spring!

PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE – “What’s Happenin’”

PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE are already onto their second single of the year! “What’s Happenin’” is produced by JP THE WAVY, who worked with the group on their hits “Just Like Dat” and “Temperature.” This song delivers authentic Y2K hip-hop and boy-group vibes from the team’s styling to its sonic elements. In the accompanying music video, the sextet charm the camera through close-up shots and their synchronized moves. The song’s upbeat vibes are a perfect match to the bouncy, high-energy choreography. The Y2K vibes are complete as PSYCHIC FEVER are dripped out in full BAPE outfits, reminiscent of artists like Pharrell in the early 2000s.

“What’s Happenin’” is for the lovestruck, as PSYCHIC FEVER plead that they are the only ones meant for their lover. They passionately sing, “A life without you is incomplete / The last puzzle piece that I needed.” The R&B pop song is equipped with addictive drums and chopped synths, commonly found in 2000s boy-group tracks. The song’s catchy hook, “Girl, just let me know (What’s happening?),” invites audiences to sing along. Fortunately, fans have the perfect opportunity to do so as PSYCHIC FEVER are set to embark on their first U.S. tour starting on February 2. With two 2025 songs under their belt and a tour on the way, EnVi is excited to see what else 2025 has in store for PSYCHIC FEVER!

Danny Singh & Lunas! – “TOXIC”

Toxic relationships can be so inescapable, so overwhelming, and yet, none are as addictive as “TOXIC” by Danny Singh and Colombian producer Lunas! For the people who have had thorny relationships that they can’t seem to shake, this one’s for you. The track marries Drum and Bass with hyperpop to serve up an earworm fit for the club. It’s hard not to be hypnotized by the alluring chorus, or the dreamlike synths throughout its two minute and ten second run time (which feels entirely too short for such a catchy track). And for the fans who were waiting on visuals, the song came paired with an equally charismatic music video, bringing its viewers into nightlife.

Hailing from Queens, New York, Danny Singh has been on the rise for his “Punk n B” music, weaving genres like rock, Hip-hop, pop, and R&B. There’s no one box that can contain his musical prowess, which is what makes him so special. Bringing “TOXIC” to the fans, Singh and Lunas! created magic in Bushwick, celebrating the release at an 18+ rave. There, fans got to watch Danny Singh perform live as Lunas! was behind the turntables. For those unfamiliar with Lunas!, listeners may recognize him for his production for prominent acts like Riovaz and Cade Clair. With such a strong start to 2025, one can only wonder what’s next for Danny Singh.
