The prize was started by Nathalie Dufour in 1989 along with the French Ministry of Culture. It was birthed to support “emerging talents of the global contemporary fashion scene” says the founder. The first fellowship winner was the sensational and enigmatic Martin Margiela who founded the fashion house, Maison Margiela.

The ANDAM awards 4 prizes—Grand Prize, Pierre Bergé Prize, Accessories Prize and Innovation Prize. The winners of the former two will receive €300,000 and €150,000 respectively while the latter two would receive €50,000 along with additional rewards. The winner of the Grand Prize would be mentored for a year by Cédric Charbit, Balenciaga President who would be representing the luxury group, Kering

The nominations for the prize would be revealed by the end of May 2021. On July 1st, the jury will decide the winners for all four prizes by an absolute majority. The prizewinners would be announced in September.

Lisa has recently been a familiar face in the fashion industry. She is the first official ambassador of the French luxury house, Celine. In December 2020, Lisa joined forces with Bvlgari as their Global Ambassador. Her fellow Blackpink members are also ambassadors for different fashion houses – Jennie for Chanel, Rosé for Saint Laurent and Jisoo for Dior.

With Lisa’s extensive fashion portfolio, she seems the perfect fit to join the extremely talented jury.
