Move aside brat green, there’s a new trendy color in town. According to fashion connoisseurs Hande Erçel and Win Metawin — as well as the Spring Summer 2025 runways — bold blue hues may be serious contenders for this summer’s ultimate color trend.

Cerulean Blue

In the peak of a neon summer inspired by Charli XCX’s album Brat, an unexpected color might be posing competition to Brat green: cerulean blue — and adjacent bright blue shades. We have witnessed the fashion world slowly embrace this color since as early as 2022. However, over the last couple of months, cerulean and aqua-infused blues have infiltrated the runways. Now, they’re also making it to our favorite celebrities’ wardrobes just in time for summer.

Case in point: Hande Erçel. The trend-setting Turkish actress has cycled through various shades of blue this summer. Back in June, the stylish star donned a two-toned blue knit sweater on a touristic trip in Sweden. Then, Hande took the pastel route with a baby blue mini dress and matching Bottega Veneta clutch to attend Wimbledon in July.

Most recently, the fashionista embraced the perfect summer-ready shade of blue (cerulean) on a trip to Mykonos. Wearing a halter neck mini dress with ruched skirt detailing, Hande demonstrated exactly how to style cerulean in an effortlessly chic way.

Aqua-leaning Blue

Thai actor Win Metawin is always updated with the latest trends. From peeking boxers and white tank tops to trendy hairstyles and the hottest accessories, the actor knows exactly how to elevate his wardrobe. As an arbiter of good style and seasoned tastemaker, Win recently gave his stamp of approval to bright, aqua-leaning blues.

The megastar, who has served as an ambassador for Prada since 2023, endorsed the color with an Instagram post where he was pictured dressed in an aqua knit top. The star shared inspiration for transitional outfits by combining the statement blue color with gray Herringbone pants and a chunky white cutout belt look.

Taking Over the Runways

Contrary to popular belief, the fashion industry has been gearing up to welcome cerulean and saturated blue tonalities for at least two years now. Brands such as Jacquemus, Issey Miyake, Off-White, Amiri and Willy Chavarria steadily introduced these colors in their 2023 and 2024 collections.

During Men’s Milan Fashion Week Fall Winter 2024, Prada’s collection featured the very shade of blue now populating the biggest fashion tastemakers’ social media profiles. Prada also reprised the color in its most recent Spring Summer 2025 Menswear runway, further solidifying the color’s place in the mainstream.

Elsewhere, Amiri presented a rockabilly-inspired SS25 collection, rich in black and vibrant blue tonalities; Jonathan Anderson — who has made aqua blue a signature of his eponymous brand — put a subtle twist on the color for his latest collection and brands like Qasimi, Zegna and even Chanel have presented total cerulean and aqua blue looks on their shows.
