British luxury brand Burberry recently launched a campaign highlighting its newest leather good, the Rocking Horse Bag. Following this release, the storied fashion label touched down in Hong Kong to open a limited-time bar at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental.

The inauguration night was a fashionable get-together of Asian Pacific powerhouses, from campaign star Bright Vachirawit to K-pop singer Baekhyun and fashion force Irene Kim.

The Rocking Horse

On May 23, Burberry released its latest fashion campaign celebrating the new Rocking Horse Bag. Introduced by creative director Daniel Lee, the bag reflects Burberry’s heritage and association with the equestrian world. As the name suggests, the bag draws inspiration from classic rocking horse toys and features the brand’s new B letterform as a metallic closure.

In the global campaign, esteemed Burberry ambassadors and collaborators such as  Asami Mizukawa, Jun Ji-Hyun, Tang Wei, Lily Donaldson and Nora Attal, as well as Thai multihyphenate Bright Vachirawit, presented different variations of the Rocking Horse bag.

Burberry at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental

Further commemorating the Rocking Horse launch, Burberry opened a limited-time experience at the iconic Queen’s Road Central in Hong Kong. The chosen venue was The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, which will serve as the home of the experience titled “Knight Bar” until July 14.

Channeling the Rocking Horse design, the bar’s interior is decorated with blue furniture and fixtures. One of the highlights is the neon sign featuring Burberry’s new logo, the EKD (Equestrian Knight Design), a design sourced from a 1901 illustration.

Guests at the Knight Bar will enjoy traditional British dishes such as fish and chips and toad in the hole and a curated mocktail dubbed “The Burberry.” The venue also features QR codes distributed throughout the space to give away original items such as a horse-shaped bottle opener, checked tote bags and key charms.
