About SAPTO DJOJOKARTIKO
Sapto Djojokartiko, an Indonesian fashion designer from Solo, has always been deeply influenced by the city’s rich traditions and culture. His journey in fashion began in 1997 when he pursued Fashion Design & Pattern Making at L’Ecole Superieure des Art et Technique de la Mode, graduating in 1998. Before fully dedicating himself to fashion in 2004, he explored various creative roles, including costume design, styling, illustration, and makeup artistry.
In 2007, he launched the SAPTO DJOJOKARTIKO brand, bringing his signature blend of cultural heritage and modern aesthetics to the fashion scene. His passion for couture led to the introduction of the Ready-to-Wear Collection in 2009, which received widespread recognition. Over the years, his craftsmanship earned him accolades such as Fashion Designer of the Year at the Elle Style Awards in 2011 and The Best Pattern Maker award from ESMOD.
Today, Sapto Djojokartiko continues to expand his creative vision beyond clothing, venturing into footwear, eyewear, and accessories.
