It Girls Lisa and Hande Erçel Anticipate the Hottest Trend of 2024: Leopard Print
As 2023 comes to an end, it seems that a wild new craze is about to rise soon. We get the hunch that something is bound to trend by spotting patterns of dressing on fashion’s biggest it girls. And no, we’re not talking about the seasonal-friendly red dresses every A-lister is wearing for Christmas.
Sometimes the most enjoyable trends are the most unexpected. This time, leopard print is taking over our favorite fashionista’s wardrobes. EnVi breaks down how our ultimate arbiters of good taste (Thai darling Lisa and Turkish megastar Hande Erçel) are making a case for the chic but divisive pattern.
Lisa’s Cool Take on Animal Print
BLACKPINK’s Lisa is known for her youthful chic style and her girl-next-door charm. The K-pop superstar took a casual approach to animal print to attend the CELINE store re-opening in Bangkok. Lisa rocked the statement pattern with a boxy tailored jacket and a matching mini-skirt. She paired the ensemble with a white crop top with lace detailing at the collar and cuffs, which added a sense of girly playfulness.
To complement this funky look, the idol’s hair was styled in curls for a slight glam rock touch. Topped off with a sleek pair of black leather boots, Lisa’s outfit proves that leopard print doesn’t have to be over the top. Quite the opposite, the pattern can make for an effortlessly cool look.
Hande Erçel’s Bold Elegance
Turkish superstar and fashion icon Hande Erçel also put her spin on leopard print to attend Begüm Khan’s celebration of the upcoming Year of the Dragon. The star looked like the epitome of elegance in a figure-hugging maxi dress from the Turkish brand The New Arrivals Ilkyaz Ozel.
She accessorized the outfit with gold statement jewelry: leaf-motif earrings dangling from her ears and a thick textured gold bangle cuffed on her wrist. To layer the dress, the actress put on a sharp satin cropped blazer adorned with a golden brooch on its lapel. With classy makeup and her hair pulled into a slick back, Erçel was able to twist the bold leopard print into the foundation of a glamorous get-up.
Luxury Going Wild
Bold patterns, and specifically leopard and cheetah motifs, are slowly making their comeback in the luxury fashion scene. Various brands implemented these prints into their collections during the latest Spring Sumer 2024 season. Coach, Erdem, Roberto Cavalli and Moschino are just some of the names betting on this style revival.
Celine also incorporated leopard print into various looks. The collection, however, took a more rock and indie sleaze-infused approach, with matching sets and fur jackets reminiscent of the glam rock era — after all, Hedi Slimane is known for his rock ‘n’ roll influences.
Another brand embracing the leopard motif is Dior. The French label went down memory lane for the release of Dior Beauty’s Mitzah Collection. The launch paid tribute to Christian Dior’s muse, Mitzah (Mizza) Bricard — who was known for her signature leopard print looks. For this collection, Dior embedded their signature products with a limited edition leopard motif packaging.
Dior is also bringing back its Mizza leopard pattern on everyday pieces such as bags and knitwear — as spotted on global ambassador Jisoo earlier this year. The brand even displayed leopard motifs on menswear during their most recent Spring Summer runway.

The print of 2024
With various indicators all pointing to its return to the mainstream, we can’t wait to see how the eye-catching print will be explored and interpreted in the coming year. If we go by predictions, leopard print á la indie sleaze and faux fur coats will be a thing among fashionistas — searches for those terms have been soaring.
