To say there’s hype surrounding K-pop boy group NCT 127’s upcoming September comeback would be an understatement. The nine member boy group— consisting of Taeyong, Taeil, Johnny, Yuta, Doyoung,  Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan— recently went viral on social media upon the announcement of their STICKER album and recent promotional “Neo Culture Institute of Technology” endeavors. Not only has NCT 127 been dominating the social media scene over the past week, but they have also been dominating in sales for their upcoming STICKER album. Pre-orders for NCT 127’s STICKER album opened on August 23, and within 24 hours the album surpassed 1.32 million pre-orders.

Excitement For The Milestone

Within an hour of the news coming out, NCT 127 trended Worldwide on Twitter, where fans of the group went into a frenzy. Within minutes of the news #NCT127STICKER_MilionSeller trended worldwide.

An Era For Growth

In 2020, NCT 127 garnered 530,000 pre-order sales for their second full-length album Neo Zone, which later sold over 1.2 million copies. As of August 24, 2021, NCT 127 have exceeded their previous record by over 150%, surpassing over 1,329,000 albums sold during the pre-order period. 

NCT 127 have not only beat their pre-order record from last year, but they have also become double-million sellers. This is their second time surpassing the 1 million sales mark for an album. NCT 127’s upcoming STICKER album will remain on pre-order until the album drops on Friday, September 17.

Growing Anticipation For STICKER

There is much to expect from NCT 127 over the next month until the album drops. Earlier today they dropped their teaser timetable outlining each drop counting down to D-Day. With a wealth of content on the way, NCTzens are sure to enjoy the STICKER era and its 11 new songs that are to come.

On August 24 at 8 pm KST, NCT 127 hosted their S.P.O.I.L.E.R.1.2.7 Vlive broadcast, where the members answered fan questions and discussed further details about their upcoming album. Fans can look forward to the “Sticky” concept teasers this week as well as the premiere of NCT 127’s reality show NCT Life in Gapyeong, which will be available through Seezn on August 30.
