As part of a photographic look-back on pre-pandemic times and the now, the EnVi Photo team asked K-Pop fans to submit their photos to showcase positivity amongst the community. We want to show that despite the limiting circumstances, K-Pop fans have continued to show support in creative ways for idols—but most importantly, for each other.

“Me and my sister live in San Diego and there’s barely any K-Pop acts that come here to perform. So, we were really excited that our ult group NCT, and SuperM came to visit! Fun fact, after NCT 127’s “Summer Kickoff Concert,” we drove up to LA the next day for the Capitol event! We also stood in line for 5 hours…but it was worth it!”
Who is your bias?
“My ultimate bias is Ten! My other biases are J-Hope, Jeno, Xiaojun, Hendery, Taeyong, and Doyoung!”
What’s been the biggest challenge for you to overcome during the pandemic?
“I already bought tickets to the BTS Rosebowl concert but it still makes me sad that it can’t happen right now. I’ve been an army since 2013 and it was one of my dreams to go see BTS in concert! They hold a special place in my heart, especially since I was a fan from the beginning and I have seen them grow from the bottom. It would be my first BTS concert too…”
What are you most looking forward to being able to do again?
“Going to concerts and traveling! I want to visit COEX/SM Museum in Seoul the most!”

“My first photocard was a Kun one! I used to take it everywhere. Even though I don’t really have photos of events because I got into kpop in the second half of 2019, I do have good memories of showing music videos to my friends in our free time while we helped in an event at university! And eventually making them love kpop as well, watching “Kick It” by NCT 127 together and getting excited while watching the teaser photos for upcoming albums.”
Who is your bias?
“Taeyong, Lucas, Doyoung, Chanyeol”
What’s been the biggest challenge for you to overcome during the pandemic?
“Everyone’s lifestyles changed a lot; I had to focus on stuff that I didn’t consider that important before and since we all had to stay in our houses and had so many things to worry about my mental health declined a lot. I’d consider the biggest challenge was to try and stay positive, and look at the bright side of the situation.”
What are you most looking forward to being able to do again?
“I honestly want to go back to university! I miss being able to hang out with my friends and talk face to face.”
@donyamo_

What’s been the biggest challenge for you to overcome during the pandemic?
“Choosing healthy habits and hobbies to keep me mindful and present through the extra down time.”
What are you most looking forward to being able to do again?
“Concerts and traveling with friends.”
@02HYUCK
“I submitted a before and after picture of how it was for a SuperM concert in person vs online! I also showed some NCT 127 pictures from how it was when I got to see them in person in NYC. I truly miss those days.”
Who is your bias?
“My biases are Taeyong, Haechan, Mark, and Jaehyun”
What’s been the biggest challenge for you to overcome during the pandemic?
“Learning that it’s okay to be sad, you don’t always have to be happy, it’s okay to have some down time as well!”
What are you most looking forward to being able to do again?
“Gosh, not worrying about getting sick! But mostly the concerts, I miss being in the crowds with people who share the same amount of love and dedication for idols as well! Things will go back slowly but surely! ?”
