Putthipong Assaratanakul, known mononymously as Billkin, is a Thai Chinese singer, actor and certified hype beast. On June 2, the multi-hyphenate talent joined Gulf Kanawut and Davika Hoorne as the third Gucci ambassador to hail from Thailand.
The announcement comes as no surprise given Billkin’s frequent appearances at Gucci events and his seeming appreciation for the brand. “My growing partnership with the brand has been a warm and close-knitted one, like a family,” shared the multihyphenate. “Gucci has always been a part of my life since I was a young boy. Collaborating with the brand was already a great compliment to my craft, but to be named brand ambassador is truly a pinnacle point for me.”
To commemorate this new chapter in Billkin’s career, EnVi rounds up seven of the most memorable Gucci outfits he has sported over the years.
The Ambassador Announcement
First up: the outfit Billkin wore to announce his new ambassadorship. In a series of photos shared online, the star is pictured wearing a bomber jacket and matching trousers from Gucci’s Fall 2024 collection. In the shoot, Billkin showed off iconic Gucci staples including the Jackie Medium Shoulder Bag, the Savoy Medium Duffle (personalized with the letters “GG” and neon yellow detailing) and the Gucci Horsebit loafers with sole hardware.
Gucci Phuket Store Opening
In January 2024, Billkin attended the opening of the Gucci boutique in Central Phuket Foresta. Billkin sported a distorted Gucci monogram coordinated set comprising the Wavy GG Laser Print Denim Jacket and Wavy GG Laser Print Denim Pant. With a spin on Gucci’s signature monogram, the set made for an appropriately trendy take on the Canadian tuxedo.
Gucci Phuket Promotions
Just a few days after the Gucci Central Phuket Foresta store opening, Billkin took to social media to share a series of images by the beach. The star’s lowkey outfit was created with Gucci’s Silk Shirt With Horsebit Print and a simple pair of medium-wash jeans. To complete the look, Billkin’s hair was styled into a beach-ready tousle.
Laid-Back Streetwear
Billkin incorporated Gucci into a casual look for a day of exploring art galleries. Posing at a Keith Haring exhibition, the I Told Sunset About You star looked comfortable in the Gucci Moto Logo Hoodie and the loose-fitting Denim Pants With Gucci Label. A pair of Wayne Og Sole Low Top Sneakers in the black and white colorway completed the outfit.
The Gucci Ancora Look
To promote the Gucci Ancora show in late 2023 — designer Sabato de Sarno’s debut as the brand’s creative director — Billkin shared snaps dressed in head-to-toe Gucci. Taking a business casual approach, the Thai superstar paired a Wool Mohair Formal Jacket With Label with medium-wash jeans and a white top with a low neckline. Billkin topped the look with simple black shoes and a Gucci Horsebit 1955 bag.
Gucci Cosmos in Shanghai
Billkin debuted an undeniably chic look as he joined Gucci ambassadors and friends of the Italian House in Shanghai for the opening of the Gucci Cosmos exhibition. Wearing the Crystal-Embellished Single-Breasted Blazer and trousers with cuffed hems, Billkin embraced the upscale nature of Shanghai’s West Bund Art Center.
A Playful Necklace
Billkin delivered another noteworthy Gucci look to the Happy Lazzie Birthday event in March. The Gucci detailing in this look came in the form of the Interlocking G Chain with Gremlin Pendant. With his heavily distressed cream jeans and hot pink overshirt, Billkin embodied a more playful, off-duty look that complemented the event’s upbeat feel.
