We’re Obsessed With Yuta’s Pink Travel Bag
Japanese star Yuta Nakamoto, member of K-pop group NCT, transformed South Korea’s Incheon airport into his personal runway on June 17. The singer and actor made a Louis Vuitton-approved appearance on his way to Paris to attend Louis Vuitton’s upcoming Spring Summer 2025 show on June 18.
Aside from Yuta’s mastery of luxurious comfort, what caught EnVi’s attention was the singer’s statement travel bag.
The Speedy P9 Bandoulière
Slung nonchalantly over Yuta’s shoulder was the Louis Vuitton Speedy P9 Bandoulière bag. Originally released in the 1930s, the signature P9 bags were reimagined by Pharrell Williams last year for the Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2024 collection. The bag, later introduced in a campaign starring Rihanna, received great acclaim from fashion enthusiasts.
Now, the Speedy P9 Bandoulière is receiving another vivid colorway: pink agate. We first saw the unreleased bag earlier this year on the runway of Pharrell’s cowboy-inspired collection, but the bag hasn’t hit the stores yet. As a long-time and trusted friend of the House, it’s no surprise that Yuta got priority access to the new style.
Yuta’s airport outfit styling allowed his Speedy P9 Bandoulière to enjoy the spotlight. Wearing an LV Lovers T-shirt and a denim silk shirt over a pair of loose-fitting beige trousers, Yuta epitomized functional high fashion. To complete the look, Yuta opted for the LV Trainer Maxi Sneakers in the Damoflage pattern — a mix of the brand’s signature Damier motif and camo print — first introduced by creative director Pharrell Wiliams in 2023.
In addition to the Speedy P9 Bandoulière, Yuta brought the Horizon 55 suitcase in the Monogram Eclipse colorway. The High & Low THE WORST Cross actor kept his accessories simple, showing off the Tambour Street Diver watch accessorized with a white gold diamond pendant from Le Gaston Vuitton men’s fine jewelry collection.
Fashion Week
Yuta’s trip to Paris reflects his participation in the current wave of Asian stars taking over fashion events. In the past, Yuta has attended Louis Vuitton’s runway shows and worn the House’s products for performances and photoshoots. With luxury brands increasing partnerships with stars from across the Asia Pacific region, it’s no surprise that Louis Vuitton is fully embracing Yuta’s influence.
