JO1 – “Animal”

Japan’s pop sensation JO1 is turning up the heat with their latest release, “Animal.” The nine-member group, consisting of Sho, Ren, Ruki, Junki, Keigo, Takumi, Syoya, Sky, and MÁME, is welcoming a new era with their mini English album, produced by Grammy-winning producer Dem Jointz. “Animal” serves as both the album’s title track and lead single made to channel the group’s inner wild. The high-energy dance track is built around the idea of letting loose a side of yourself that is usually kept hidden. The concept comes to life as the members repeatedly chant the hook, “Go so wild! I’m an animal!” Originally performed at KCON LA for fans in the United States, the track is paving the way for the group’s international takeover.
The music video transports us to a universe where the members find themselves caged up, only to break free from their confinement and enter an unpredictable world. The video highlights the group’s fast-paced, hard hitting choreography, joined by 30 dancers. As they begin this new era, JO1 is taking their music across North America. Catch them on tour this October.
ARI LEE – “Break The Habit”

Rising alt-pop sensation, ARI LEE. has released her latest single “Break the Habit.” The song serves as a reminder to everyone to never give up on their dreams or aspirations, and shed any false sense of security. Whether it’s bad habits, or a relationship you know deep down is not meant to be, LEE sets the record straight and not giving up on that adventure she once wished for. As if she were preaching she sings “Had to remember my reasons and dreams /I won’t abandon my own guarantee” leading to self control and accountability is not an easy job but LEE makes it feel a bit less terrifying through “Break the Habit.”
In a press statement, LEE shares “I neglected my passions for ten years, and every distraction and vice felt like a test. Am I done self-sabotaging? Am I done watering my dreams down? I had to be. It was now or never.” Ready to show that dreams do become real, LEE is creating her own sound and path while going back to the passion that started it all; dancing. Incorporating her dance background with her musicality, LEE introduces us to a world she likes to describe as “music for the baddies and the saddies,” leading to the release of her sophomore album What Happens When You Fall In Love In Stepford? Dropping on November 6th, ARI is making manifestations true.
Pryme! – “lay it down”

Rising indie soloist pryme! is bringing old-school 2000s sounds with a twist of today’s R&B. Releasing his first full-length EP, Cross the Line, the California-based singer-songwriter is stepping into a new era, creating his own genre straight from his bedroom. Introducing thirteen tracks the singer has classic hits such as “Love Me Now” ft. Aria and “Don’t Matter” to newer fan favorites such as “Bulletproof” and “FaceTime.” Taking a different approach to his signature sound, “lay it down” sounds like a mix between a club anthem and a sultry R&B track. The song introduces itself with a few “yeahs” playing in the background, reminiscent of a beat we might hear in one of T-Pain’s classic hits. Nostalgic but nonetheless fresh, the trap-inspired percussion and basslines create a low, sensual vibe that goes hand in hand with its lyrics.
Speaking to a lover, pryme! sings, “All around the world, I don’t want no other girls but you. Damn, the only word for the night is yes.” A classic to those who love romance, pryme! Is luring his lover through his words and us through his music, with a full album out and steady but growing fanbase, pryme! Is not only growing musically but becoming a household name.
CLOSE YOUR EYES – “Drop That!”

Multinational K-pop septet CLOSE YOUR EYES embrace their status as “stars” in their powerful new release, “Drop That!” This track arrives as the title of their jazz-influenced album, 256th Note, and reinterprets boom bap hip-hop with jazz instrumentation and a pop structure. The song also reinterprets revered music icon, Yoon Si-nae’s, “이 밤을 즐겁게” — regarded as a pioneer of Korean jazz funk. Following their emblematic pre-release, “Open Your Eyes,” “Drop That!” is a continuation of their declaration as artists. CLOSE YOUR EYES are unafraid to move to the rhythm of their own beat and stand their ground as artists. They chant like a mantra in the chorus: “Mama ain’t raise no punk / Mama you raised a star / Mama I raise the bar.”
“Drop That!” is simultaneously fresh yet nostalgic with its blend of classic and modern elements. Though the remainder of the tracks on 256th Note follow suit, “Drop That!” is noticeably the most energetic of the bunch, making it the perfect choice to showcase their performance abilities and onstage charisma. As CLOSE YOUR EYES gear up for their North American tour this month, fans everywhere are excited to see this new and matured era for the team come to life.
Darvishi – “Jat Khali Nabood”

“Persian Pop Princess” Darvishi returns with “Jat Khali Nabood,” an empowering anthem about leaving behind relationships that drag you down. The title is a spin on a beloved Persian phrase of hers: “جات خالی بود” (“jat khali bood” / “your place was missed”). Darvishi adds one syllable to turn it into “جات خالی نبود” (“jat khali nabood” / “your place wasn’t missed”). With this new phrase, Darvishi reflects on past relationships, romantic or platonic, where she’s better off without the person in her life.
The track opens with Persian-inspired instrumentals before diving into a thrumming jersey club baseline and Darvishi’s smooth voice. Every second of the track oozes self-confidence and cheeky reflection on leaving a relationship behind. For “Jat Khali Nabood,” Darvishi joins forces with the same producing team she worked with for “Jelo,” an earlier single from 2026. Together with Addis and Korey Keys, the Persian Pop Princess combined English and Farsi lyrics to craft an anthem for letting go of something for the better.
Crimson99 – “Who Am I”

In a world that changes by the second, it can be difficult to find your footing. In her debut EP, Daredevil, Crimson99 reveals her vulnerable side and works through facing her fears. “Who Am I,” stands out as the lead track off the album, with Crismon99’s raw vocals from the demo making the final cut. Regarding the song’s message, she shared, “It’s about allowing love and truth to pierce through fear and hurt. It’s about not listening to all the internalized voices that prevented me from walking my path. It’s about trust and letting go of control and fear.”
Despite it being her first recording, Crimson99’s voice is full of vulnerability. As she questions the image of her true self, her raspy voice and vibrato express her own cries of self-doubt. The instrumental builds from acoustic guitar, to full band ensemble. “Sometimes I wonder if I’ve got borrowed emotions yeah / Master chameleon, what is yours can be mine,” Crimson99 sings, hoping to blend into the world around her. Still, she doesn’t want to be trapped to conformity and questions, “Am I overthinking this, should I press pause and just breathe? / How can I allow myself to be?” Crimson99 finds self-acceptance and assurance as she moves on from dwelling on her hurt to allowing herself to be loved.
pami – “loser”

As the latest from Thai indie singer-songwriter pami, “loser,” captures the inner turmoil of choosing a relationship that only lets you down over loneliness. Pami muses on the desire for connection over an indie pop-R&B beat that’s easy to sway to. In a press release, pami describes “loser” as a song that “explores the uncomfortable choice to accept an unfulfilling relationship because the prospect of being alone feels harder to face.”
Pami wrote “loser” together with songwriter Jett Blyton during a songwriting camp in Australia after the two bonded over the disappointment of past relationships. The music video hones the message further, using odd angles and repetitive movements to emphasize being stuck in the cycle of an on-and-off situationship. The song comes as pami’s third single of the year after “cry jar” and “all in,” both of which she took on the road in China as she toured with singer James Alyn throughout September 2026. “Loser” serves as a reminder that you’re not alone in the era of situationships and commitment issues.
Mark Tuan, MILLI – “NIGHTLIGHT”

It’s easy to love someone in the spotlight, where you can see the beauty in all their features perfectly. Even so, Mark Tuan and MILLI prefer to admire their lovers in the quiet and darkness of an intimate night together. Mark Tuan makes rounds through a house, with different personas in the music video. Between pure sunshine and the dark of night lit by a few lamps, he shows different levels of energy. He’s drowsy in the light, daydreaming over what night will bring. He holds an unopened geode in the daylight, traded for gems and jewelry once night comes.
Mark Tuan takes on the role of a devoted lover, finding peace only when the pair are together. “Without you know, no, I can’t think straight,” he claims in the intro. “Yeah, trippin’ over you like a loose shoelace.” He spends his day waiting for the time he can reunite with his partner: nighttime. Thumping bass and light percussion complement the melodic rap flow shared by Mark Tuan and MILLI. Gems shine brighter in lower light, which both agree on as a symbol to represent their lovers. The pair affirms in the chorus, “‘Cause you look too good to turn the lights off / So, baby, keep the lights on.”
