Just like its previous editions, the 2024 Met Gala was a parade of tastefully crafted looks and star power. America’s biggest fashion night left a lasting impression and a plethora of fashion moments we’re still gushing about. But not everything was about the majestic gowns and tailored finesse. In conjunction with the opulent clothing, attendants brough remarkable beauty to the red carpet frontlines. The glam took many forms, from fairy-inspired details to Old Hollywood-reminiscent makeup.
However loose or spot-on with the theme they were, those standout beauty looks are still living rent-free in our minds. And we know we’re not alone in scrolling down our feeds, eager for more details on our favorite looks.
Can’t get enough of the 2024 Met Gala yet? EnVi has you covered! Below, find our selection of the most remarkable beauty moments at the event.
1. Ariana Grande
Singer-songwriter Ariana Grande made her grand return to the Met Gala in a Loewe gown constructed with real mother of pearl. To match the pearlescent outfit, Ariana tapped her own makeup brand r.e.m. beauty and makeup artist Michael Anthony.
Thankfully for us beauty lovers, the glam was detailed across several social media posts. The base was created with the sweetener foundation and concealer, while the interstellar highlight topper and hypernova satin matte blush added dimension and color. On her eyes, Ariana wore the flourishing lengthening mascara in midnight black and the eternally meowing dream lashes. And, in case you were wondering, she achieved the gorgeous pearlescent lip effect with the practically permanent lip stain marker and on your collar plumping lip gloss. The focal point of Ariana’s glam, however, was the pair of custom petal wing appliqués by Daniel vi Le and Anthony, which mimicked the texture and look of her bodice. Fairy-like and stunning!

2. Imaan Hammam
Egyptian Dutch model, Imaan Hammam transformed into a golden goddess for the Met Gala. Her beauty was enhanced by sharp eyeliner and gold highlights on the green carpet. In harmony with her Swarovski gown, gold shimmer highlighted her cupid’s bow and inner corners of the eye. Meanwhile, straight-winged liner sharpened up the look and extended the eyes. Imaan’s gold-tier makeup certainly created a glam moment for the Met Gala books.
3. Tyla
Tyla made her inaugural appearance at the Met Gala in a theme-appropriate gown inspired by the elusive sands of time. Complementing her look, the “Water” singer’s makeup embraced a sand-colored palette to highlight her features. Celebrity makeup artist Pat McGrath used her Mothership V: Bronze Seduction palette to create a warm-toned, shimmering gold eye look accompanied by bold black eyeliner. Dual-tone nude lips created with the LUST: Gloss™ and subtle blush were seamlessly integrated into the look. As a final beauty statement, Tyla unabashedly boasted her signature clean, edgy eyebrow slit, adding a youthful element to her appearance.
4. Zendaya
As a Met Gala regular, Zendaya knows how to work the event’s theme in her favor. “The Garden of Time” proved no different, with Zendaya delivering three distinct looks throughout the night. Of the three, Zendaya’s most notable look for the evening was a gothic maroon cosmetic get-up that enhanced her seemingly peacock-inspired Maison Margiela gown. The Challenger actress opted for thin, blonde eyebrows atop her deep maroon smoky eye and voluminous lashes. On her lips, Zendaya wore an intense burgundy hue that smoothly complemented the rest of her look.
5. Simone Ashley
Actress Simone Ashley enlisted the help of Hung Vanngo and Jayden Ho Pham to create a look that matched her Prabal Gurung gown. Ashley’s midnight blue attire required equally sultry and bold makeup, and Vanngo and Pham undoubtedly understood the assignment. Ashley wore L’Oréal, from skincare preparation (courtesy of the Revitalift line) to the finest makeup details. Eyeshadow took center stage, reflecting the Bridgerton star’s gown and the deep color palette. Using the Colour Riche eyeshadow palette, Panorama mascara, and Infallible Gel Liner, Ashley’s glam team created a cool-toned modern smokey eye that emphasized her expressive eyes.
6. Elle Fanning
Celebrating the opening of the Costume Institute’s newest exhibition (ICYMI, the exhibition is titled “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”), Sleeping Beauty herself, Elle Fanning, channeled fairytale beauty with her L’Oréal-powered look. The Maleficent actress paid homage to her character, Aurora with a look crafted by makeup artist Erin Ayanian Monroe and hairstylist Jenda. Elle’s glam and hair look were all about enhancing her natural beauty and adding an ultra-shiny finish. Luminous glass skin, slightly flushed cheeks and a luminized lip paired with soft waves for the ultimate princess glow.
7. Sabrina Carpenter
Sabrina Carpenter attended the Met Gala (alongside boyfriend Barry Keoghan) in a black and blue Oscar de la Renta gown. The singer’s outfit contained soft blue details that resembled the cover art for her chart-topping “Espresso.” Putting an elevated spin on Carpenter’s usual feminine glam, makeup artist Carolina Gonzales crafted a dreamy pastel blue smoky eye complete with white inner-eye shimmer. High blush placement and a nude lip gloss added subtle color to Carpenter’s beauty look. The secret to the evening’s glowing base, Gonzales shared, was pre-makeup preparation with the Solawave 4-in-1 Red Light Therapy Skincare Wand and Activating Serum.
8. Keke Palmer
American actress and TV personality Keke Palmer was all smiles as she stepped out in golden luxury for the 2024 Met Gala. For the night, celebrity makeup artist Kenya Alexis created warm smokey eyes and face makeup that matched Keke’s golden outfit to perfection. The makeup artist utilized much of Milk Makeup’s products to make sure the glam lasted all night long. Meanwhile, golden appliqués seamlessly tied the shimmery makeup, an ultra-high ponytail and Keke’s Marc Jacobs gown together.
9. Karol G
Karol G attended the Met Gala in “fairycore” glamour — elven ears and all. The reggaeton princess wore a crystal-studded Marc Jacobs gown, hair jewelry and the most ethereal beauty look courtesy of Patrick Ta. Bestowing an ethereal finish, Karol’s eyes (lids and inner corners) were frosted with a blend of shimmery shadows. For a whimsical touch, the “Amargura” singer sported the hidden highlighter trend and blushing cheeks crafted with Ta’s Major Headlines Double-Take Blush. Additionally, juicy pink Tanghulu lips brought a punch of springtime energy to Karol’s look. To bring the fairy concept to life, the Colombian star also sported flowing waves, elven ears by Malina Stearns and crystal jewelry. So magical!

10. Nicholas Galitzine
Fresh off The Idea of You movie set, Nicholas Galitzine served leading man energy at the 2024 Met Gala. The London-native sported a minimal beauty routine enhanced by a heartthrob hairstyle. (Cropped curtain bangs and barely-there makeup harmonized with his Fendi suit.) Galitzine’s beauty look was a friendly reminder that well-groomed never goes out of style, or at least, not for men.
11. LaLa Anthony
LaLa Anthony walked the Met Gala green carpet sporting a glossy ombre lip and cat eyes crafted by celebrity makeup artist ROKAEL. To create the look, ROKAEL used the Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder in Shade 6 and makeup brushes from the unreleased Danessa Myricks Beauty x MyKitCo Collab. After applying a smooth base, warm-toned eyeshadows sculpted out the hallows of the eyes. Then, using the Danessa Myricks Groundwork Palette, ROKAEL crafted a sultry winged liner. Lastly, the makeup artist sketched out a 2024 spin on the ombré lip with contrasting lip products.
“For this year’s Met Gala we were inspired by the theme “Sleeping Beauty Reawakening Fashion” so we decided to something that was bold and earthy so we did a glossy earth toned Ombré lip and paired it with a warm toned Cat Eye,” shared ROKAEL.
12. Anok Yai
Adorned in 98,000 crystals, Egyptian-American model Anok Yai attended the Met Gala in a dress by Swarovski. Celebrity makeup artist Sheika Daley was responsible for the accompanying glam. The artist has worked with Zendaya, Serena Williams, and Beyonce; so Yai was in good hands. Frosty blue smokey eyes enlarged the eye area with a fierce wing shape. The glow continued onto the face and lips. Daley accentuated the center of Yai’s face with generous amounts of highlight. Lastly, the lips remained glossy thanks to a mahogany lip combination.
13. Bad Bunny
Puerto Rican sensation Bad Bunny worked with Pat McGrath to create a clean makeup look for the night. Rather than painting his face with colorful shadows, McGrath enhanced the rapper’s features using her eponymous brand’s Mothership I: Subliminal eyeshadow palette and Divine Skin: Rose 001™ The Essence. Combined with his signature buzz-cut, Bad Bunny’s makeup touch-up added a subtle neatness to his look and proved you can never go wrong with clean, minimal grooming.

14. Mona Patel
Mona Patel may have been a mysterious face at the Met Gala, but her beauty kept the crowd talking. The Gujarati-American entrepreneur graced the red carpet with glam by APAC makeup artist Sydney Jamila. Enhancing her natural features, the neutral tones and warm pink lipstick blended seamlessly with her custom Iris Van Herpen gown. The look was so impactful it was pictured on the digital cover of L’Officiel India.
15. Taraji P. Henson
From the light pink peonies adorning her hair to the pastel makeup, Taraji P. Henson’ sported the perfect ultra-feminine beauty look. Celebrity makeup artist Sasha Beecham created the glam for the Golden Globe award-winning actress. “I wanted to go with pastel colors especially pink to bring out the subtle ombre of pinks in her gown,” the MUA shared.
Taraji’s makeup was crafted in collaboration with Danessa Myricks Beauty. A flawless base was achieved with the Yummy Skin Water Powder Serum, Yummy Skin Serum Skin Tint, and Vision Cream Cover Palette. To add depth, Beecham contoured Taraji’s face with a combination of Balm Contour shades. Then the makeup artist applied the ColorFix Pastels in Bunny on the eyelids and cheekbones as a bright color base. Beecham also added a sheer base with the Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder in It Girl for a brighter pink pull of color. Lastly, Taraji’s eyes, lips, and face were given a Hollywood shine courtesy of the Colorfix Glazes.
16. Sydney Sweeney
Returning to the event for a third consecutive year, actress Sydney Sweeney switched her long blond hair with a dramatic black bob. The sudden beauty change hinted at Sydney’s upcoming portrayal of boxer Christy Martin in her upcoming project. Sydney’s makeup remained ultra-glowy on the lips, eyes, and face. The glam created a dramatic contrast with her deep hair color. To maximize her beauty look’s mysterious energy, the Euphoria star wore a beaded veil.
17. Brie Larson
Brie Larson revamped the Monday Blonde hair trend for the red carpet. The American actress’ tresses were blessed by the expert celebrity hair colorist, Jacob Schwartz.
Explaining his vision for Brie’s look, Schwartz shared, “My version of the Expensive “Monday Blonde”, I call “Spun with Gold” and involves a meticulously thorough amount of micro highlights throughout the entire hair. It’s the perfect amount of light and dark blended to give extra life to the hair.” To achieve this effect, the actress’ hair was reinvigorated with Schwarzkopf’s BLONDME Lightener 9+, BLONDME Premium Developer 7, and IGORA VIBRANCE.
18. Bright Vachirawit
Actor Bright Vachirawit made his Met Gala debut in Burberry, but his Prince Charming outfit was not the only thing catching attention on the red carpet. The Thai star stood out for his beauty look too. Hair-wise, the heartthrob’s signature curtain bangs were gelled up for the event. Meanwhile, his brows were brushed to accentuate his gaze and his lips were given an ultra-natural M.L.B.B. (My Lips But Better) treatment. The rosy nude lipstick added a hint of color without overpowering the rest of the makeup and allowing Bright’s natural charm to shine on his inaugural appearance at the Met.
19. Colman Domingo
According to celebrity makeup artist Jamie Richmond, Colman Domingo’s look was conceived “to honor men who came before him.” And the masterful execution certainly achieved that purpose. Richmond started by prepping the skin with La Mer The Cool Micellar Cleanser, the Andis Beard Edger, and Aesop’s Blue Chamomile Facial Hydrating Masque.
After applying this dewy base, Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Water Powder Serum cut unnecessary oil and created a long-lasting base. To create a Met Gala-approved luminosity, Richmond used Danessa Myricks’ Yummy Skin Serum Skin Tint, Colorfix Liquid Metal, and Vision Cream Cover. As the final touch of gloss, Danessa Myricks’ versatile Colorfix Mattes cream color in Chestnut brought natural luminosity to Colman’s pout.
20. Jennie Kim
Jennie Kim walked the carpet in a royal blue gown by Alaïa. To match the pearl accessories adorning the draped skirt, Jennie’s makeup artist created minimalist, glittery makeup. With icy blue tones decorating her eyelids, voluminous eyelashes framing her eyes, and a simple rose blush lip, the K-pop diva epitomized elegance and glamour. Further elevating the blue fit, Jennie’s hair was styled in a hitherto unseen style, pinned back and coiled in layers.
21. Madelyn Cline
Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline paired her pearl white Tommy Hilfiger gown with whimsical glam. Celebrity makeup artist Jen Tioseco was responsible for giving Madelyn the ultimate glowy look. But first things first, the secret to the actress’ glam was the skincare powered by Fig.1. To prep the skin, Tioseco started by double cleansing with the Micellar Cleansing Oil Wipes and Micellar Cleansing Oil, and hydrating with Fig.1’s gel-serum hybrid toner. Before creating fairy-like makeup with Revlon products, the makeup artist created a perfect base with the Fig.1 Ceramide Moisturizer. Madelyn’s makeup then took shape with luminous eyeshadow, bold eyeliner and a nude lip combo.
22. Stray Kids
Dressed in Tommy Hilfiger too, Stray Kids made history as the first K-pop group invited to the Met Gala. The octet pioneered the “rainy guy chic” aesthetic with misty skin, romantic eye makeup, and just-bitten lip tint. Matching their tailored ensembles, Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Seungmin, and I.N’s wet-styled hair looked straight out of a movie scene. Felix, on the other hand, stood out with a messy chic half-updo that owned the fantasy-fueled fairycore aesthetic.
Talk about a well-groomed bunch!
23. Quannah Chasinghorse
Activist, model and Met Gala fixture Quannah Chasinghorse once again stunned with her take on red-carpet glam. The model’s pastel-toned makeup and braided hairstyle were crafted by celebrity makeup artist Katey Denno and hairstylist Paula Peralta. To achieve the whimsical hair look, which featured floral hair accessories created by Native designer Heather Dickson, Peralta used Paul Mitchell‘s Sculpting Foam, Super Skinny Serum and MVRCK High Hold Pomade. Meanwhile, Katey Denno crafted a lilac eye look that blended with the pink-toned undereye blush.
24. Angel Reese
Breakout basketball player Angel Reese celebrated both her first Met Gala appearance and 22nd birthday on May 6. With the help of Chicago-based makeup artist Deja Blackwell and hairstylist Tahirah June — who flew to New York City for the occasion — Reese donned an understated, sophisticated look. Though Reese’s mint green ostrich feather dress took the limelight, the athlete’s extravagant lashes, defined eyebrows, and duo-toned glossy lip combination garnered attention in their own right. Also worth mentioning was Reese’s hairstyle for the night, which was a simple, yet bouncy low ponytail with ample curls.
