An Eastern Poetic Perspective

With over 40 years of experience in fashion, Li Wei created a collection that embodied “modern ‘Eastern’ visuals.” Each piece is a reflection of Li’s ability to weave cultural heritage into contemporary narratives. A few of the pieces, crafted with silk and sheer linen, are modern reimaginings of traditional Chinese clothing from different dynasties. There are traces of the qipao and looks reminiscent of the Tang dynasty, albeit more modern and revealing.

Li Wei’s Spring Summer 2025 show was more than a celebration of aesthetic beauty, but also of a powerful narrative, reflecting Li Wei’s journey and dedication to the art of fashion. Showcasing her Spring Summer 2025 collection during Paris Fashion Week marked a significant milestone and put Chinese textile heritage on an international stage. As an ambassador for the promotion of this heritage, Li was able to inspire a new generation of designers to embrace their cultural roots while innovating for the future.
