10cm

The king of Korean drama soundtracks, 10cm has made his voice known amongst the best. While 10cm was previously a duo, the name is now continued by Kwon Jung Yeol, the face and lead voice of the group. A major accomplishment of the singer is having a song in the two largest K-dramas released on Netflix: “Tell Me It’s Not a Dream” from Queen of Tears and “But it’s Destiny” from Crash Landing on You. In 2024, he found immense success with his song featured in Korean romcom series Lovely Runner, “Spring Snow.” Even though his voice is highly sought after for soundtracks, his love-filled music doesn’t stop at TV shows. Often with a numerical title, his personal music is just as perfect for a romantic moment like his most recent releases, “5.6”/“Late Night Walk.”

Jaehyun

JAEHYUN is an NCT member who now boasts his own solo discography with his R&B-centric debut album, J. Affectionately nicknamed “Valentine Boy,” JAEHYUN has plenty of reasons to be dubbed the poster boy for the season of love. For starters, JAEHYUN was born on this very holiday. Last year, he even hosted his own birthday fanmeet, appropriately titled, “TO MY VALENTINE BOY.” In perfect harmony with his honey-like vocal tone, many of his solo projects focus around the concept of romance. JAEHYUN’s first solo single in 2017, “Try Again,” became a love-song staple on social media for its sweet lyricism and slow tempo. He sings, “So whenever you ask me again / How I feel / Please remember / My answer is you.” His most recent single, “Unconditional” is a more confident declaration of love, and epitomizes his growth as a solo artist. In the song’s chorus, JAEHYUN details the lengths he would go for this unconditional love: “For her, I’d break the law, just take me straight to the court / Buy a billion roses and I’d still get her more.” If Valentine’s Day were personified, it would have to be JAEHYUN!

Ayumu Imazu

Ayumu Imazu is a Japanese soloist whose discography speaks to ambitious dreamers and hopeless romantics. Not all of his music is driven by romance, but when it is, Imazu goes all in. His 2024 hit, “Obsessed,” took off on social media with an adorably fitting choreography. “Obsessed” perfectly encapsulates how it feels to be blinded by love: “Why do I fall (Fall) so easily / Or is it that she’s so perfect for me? / I can’t keep on meeting the love of my life like this.” Imazu has a creative perspective on love, especially with the new track he is teasing titled, “Thrifted.” He shared in a TikTok, “I thought thrifting and love had a similar concept […] You’re giving someone new the love you used to give someone else. It’s not brand new, it’s love that’s stained and wrinkled.” Imazu teased this track late last year, so fans and new listeners smitten by its message are hoping that its official release isn’t too far away! With Valentine’s season in full swing, Ayumu Imazu’s love-filled music is the perfect accompaniment.

Billkin

Thai heartthrob Billkin is an artist you need to add to your lover-boy rotation! Born Putthipong Assarantanakil, Billkin first captured hearts as an actor, rising to fame as Doctor Tao in My Ambulance (2019). He also starred in international hit tear-jerking movie How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies (2024) the beloved drama I Told Sunset About You (2020) and its sequel, I Promised You the Moon (2021), lending his sweet vocals on the soundtrack for all. Aside from his extensive discography of OSTs, Billkin’s singles are sure to leave you with butterflies in your stomach. His single “ยิ่งดุยิ่งชอบ (Fiercer, Lover)” is the golden retriever trope reincarnated into a song. It’s a fun whimsical song that has you scrunching your face at how cutely he admits to loving the chase. He sings, “The fiercer you are, the more I’m into you.” The music video is equally as cute as he trips over how lovesick he is, warranting a giggle or two. Fujii Kaze

Fujii Kaze is no stranger to being a lover boy, and his extensive discography is here to show it. The Japanese singer-songwriter made waves on Tiktok in 2022 with the certified-gold track “死ぬのがいいわ (Shinunoga E-Wa),” despite being released in 2020 on his album Help Ever Hurt Never.  The song has now amassed over six hundred million streams on Spotify. And the song’s sweet lyrics claim his lover-boy spot on this list. Professing his adoration, he sings, “Who would give me the most fairest love of them all? / No need to ask ‘cause it’s my darling.” But this TikTok hit isn’t his only lovestruck track. While it’s a little too early to celebrate a spring festival, it’s never too late to celebrate the fireworks of love. Off his second studio album Love All Serve All, “まつり(Matsuri)” is an explosion of color, joy, and — most importantly — love. The song’s title directly translates to “festival,” a fitting title for this punky pop fun. In his signature raspy vocals, he proclaims, “I really couldn’t care less / Use me as you’d like.” With a voice as smooth as silk and lyrics that hit like Cupid’s arrows, he’s got us all swooning — no matter the season.

Josh Makazo

Josh Makazo brings the scarlet crimson to Valentines, a dangerously devoted, teetering down-bad type of lover. His debut album GRADIENT feels like a dance with the devil, battling lingering feelings while fanning the flames of desire. In the track “gradient”, Makazo sings, “On my own again / Finally have you to myself.” With over 20 million streams across various platforms, this album solidified Makazo as one of the kings of dark R&B — and dare we say, dark romance. His EP BEFORE I SEE extends this dark charm of his, with songs like “Breathtaker,” “Belong to You,” and “Hours.” Who doesn’t love a little toxic in their lover boy?

Baekhyun

Looking for the musical butter to your musical bread? From sweet ballads to alluring R&B to exciting pop songs, lover boy Baekhyun has got you covered. With his smooth, velvety vocals, he’s no stranger to the music scene as a long-standing member of EXO, EXO-CBX, and SuperM. In 2019, he made his solo debut with the mini-album, City Light, featuring the provocative title track “UN Village.” His subsequent mini-album, Delight (2020), solidified him as a chart dominator — the first album in South Korea by a solo artist to sell over one million copies in 19 years. Just like how much of a delight his album was, the title track, “Candy,” served a delicious sweet treat. “Girl, I’m your candy,” sings Baekhyun, as he boldly declares he’ll be whatever treat she wants. Slowing things down in his third mini-album, Bambi, Baekhyun sets the stage for this romantic R&B journey with the opening track “Love Scene” and closing it with a dramatic, lovelorn “Cry for Love.” If you’re in the mood for something tangier and a little on the riskier side, “Pineapple Slice” paired with a side of “Rendez-Vous” off of his latest EP, Hello, World, might be the one for you. Just know whatever you decide, you won’t be disappointed!
