Olandria X Brandon Blackwood Announce Designer Handbag Collaboration
Olandria Carthen has announced the upcoming release of her first bag collection with Brandon Blackwood. A video teaser dropped via social media on April 14, giving fans a sneak peek before the official launch. Blackwood’s designer expertise accompanied by Olandria’s trendsetting style made this a highly anticipated collaboration.

Brandon Blackwood founded his brand of the same name in 2015. After originally pursuing neuroscience, Blackwood ultimately found success as a designer. The Black-owned brand has established itself by producing unique, stylish, and high quality handbags and accessories. Blackwood offers affordable luxury with prices ranging from $100 to $500 online. Celebrities such as Beyoncé and Doechii have added Blackwood’s pieces to their rotation — proving his impact within fashion.
Olandria is fashion’s newest it girl, who has quickly become known for her fashion sense. Styled by the Reismans, versatility and elegance has been a prominent aspect of Olandria’s style. From serving casual outfits in the Love Island villa to modeling on magazine covers, she shows that personal style has no limitations. Bama Barbie Meets Blackwood New York
The preview content showcases the merging of Olandria’s “Bama Barbie” aesthetic and Brandon Blackwood’s signature touches. The bag features Blackwood’s classic Kendrick Trunk silhouette in baby pink with gold hardware. The teasers highlight accessories such as a compact mirror attachment and a bag tag that reads “Olandria” in gold detailing. Blackwood and Olandria also emphasize the intentionality behind this collection in their instagram caption, “This one’s for family, for culture, for us.” Although the release date has not yet been revealed, this is a drop to keep an eye out for.

This collaboration is not the first time the duo has worked together. In November, Olandria was styled in a custom Brandon Blackwood look for the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards. Blackwood spent over 120 hours making the gown and attended the event alongside Olandria in a matching set. They also incorporated custom accessories, including heels and a handbag to complete her outfit. The pairing is a united example of two Black rising stars who are paving their own way in fashion.
