K-pop powerhouse group Stray Kids are no strangers to headlining festivals, but their performance will mark them as the first K-pop group to headline the Governor’s Ball since its inception in 2011. The eight members of Stray Kids, Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N., debuted in 2018 and have kept the energy going nonstop since. Last year, they wrapped up their <dominATE> World Tour, which kicked off in August 2024 and wrapped up with encore shows in Incheon in October 2025.

Known for their energetic performances and powerful stage presence, Stray Kids have a diverse discography to pull from for this upcoming setlist. The self-confident “MOUNTAINS” and electric call-and-response track “CEREMONY” can hype up the crowd, while more contemplative tracks like “Holiday” and “0801” carry them through the slower moments. With festival-specific EDM remixes of popular title tracks like “Chk Chk Boom” and “Do It,” the crowd can expect a high-octane performance no matter what.

Ready to rock with JENNIE? Making her Governor’s Ball debut, JENNIE will be taking over the stage as the first K-pop solo act to headline the festival. Since her 2018 solo debut under YG Entertainment, she’s been steadily building up a reputation as a global pop and fashion force, collecting new accolades with every era.

Her 2025 debut album, Ruby, released under ODDATELIER and Columbia Records, showcased her musical range with charismatic pop and atmospheric R&B. With standout tracks like “Mantra,” “ZEN,” and “Seoul City,” her debut album also hosted a catalogue of high-profile collaborations with Doechii, Dua Lipa, and more. This year has only amplified her career momentum. After three years, JENNIE returned to BLACKPINK for their long-awaited full-group comeback, DEADLINE, on February 27. Just earlier this month, she also expanded her solo music print with a remix collaboration on Tame Impala’s “Dracula,” on which she delivered a playful, sultry verse.

With nearly a decade of experience under her belt, JENNIE is no stranger to historic festival stages. In 2023, she broke history alongside her groupmates, co-headlining Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival as the first Korean act to do so. Two years later, in 2025, she returned to the desert with an “ExtraL” performance on Coachella’s Outdoor Stage. This summer, she will continue her U.S. music festival run with Lollapalooza Chicago in August. For this upcoming Governor’s Ball, expect nothing less than an electrifying, explosive headline set that’s unmistakably “like JENNIE.”

Dominic Fike

For a long time, the name Dominic Fike has been a quiet presence among music lovers with an alternative hip-hop and rap niche. Pre-debut, his SoundCloud releases already caught the eye of major recording labels who entered a bidding war to distribute his debut EP, Don’t Forget About Me, Demos, which dropped when he was only 22. Part Jack Johnson, part Jackson 5, part Mac Miller, it’s clear why he continues to become a favorite throughout subsequent singles like “Chicken Tenders,” lead single of his first album, and “Mona Lisa” off his sophomore record, a track that was originally slated for the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse soundtrack.

The part-Filipino rapper was further propelled into the mainstream by appearing in Euphoria and taking his on-screen romance with Hunter Schafer to real life. His genre-blind music only made it easier for new fans to fall in love with him. It might even be the bridge that connects him to various collaborators from different corners in music, from Remi Wolf, Omar Apollo, Halsey, and Ravyn Lenae to legends like Paul McCartney and K-pop icon JENNIE. With the latter headlining on the same day, festivalgoers may be witnessing the first-ever live performance of the duet. But this isn’t Fike’s first rodeo at Governor’s Ball, so he’s more than ready to once again bring his well-known spunk to New York’s crowd, a peak into what he might present on his upcoming US tour “Comedy Tragedy Parody.”

Japanese Breakfast

Japanese Breakfast have a plethora of shows coming up this summer, and luckily, they will be stopping by The Governor’s Ball on the Sunday of the festival. The indie-rock band is most commonly known for their moody yet eccentric sound and, most recently, attracted many ears through the release of their fourth album, For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women)

Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Japanese Breakfast have built their individual sound since forming in 2013. They originally started as a side project for the musicians while working on other things, but eventually started releasing music. Credit for the band’s name can go to front-woman Michelle Zauner, as she felt warmth and comfort just by looking at a traditional Japanese breakfast, and on a whim, called the band by the same name. Now, that side project has turned into a two-time GRAMMY-nominated band.

For music lovers who also love to dive into the literary world, the name Michelle Zauner may also ring a bell, as she is the author of the #1 New York Times Bestseller, Crying in H Mart. Japanese Breakfast will be bringing rock and gothic romance to the Gov Ball stage this year – a performance not to be missed.
