It’s EnVi’s mental health month! EnVi understands how exciting it can be to participate in the daily K-pop lifestyle with friends. So, what’s a better way to enjoy it than with your pets at home! Pets have a huge impact on a person’s mental health and can be the greatest friends to get fans through a hard time. We wanted to see how K-pop fans and their pets experience the world and joy of K-pop together, so EnVi has provided them with questions to share their wonderful bond and the connection they have to the K-pop space.

She sits next to me without looking at me. I’ll usually pick her up and give her some kisses, maybe rub her belly and behind her ears.

How has your pet helped/impacted your mental health through tough times?

On days where I am having a really bad mental health day, simple acts such as having Zazu cuddle next to me and hearing his cute squeaks help calm me down. His face when he chews his hay also gives me a few giggles, it cheers me up. He is my son and responsibility, so that motivates me to be a better and happier pet owner!

I can tell when Zazu is feeling down if I notice that he isn’t eating or is just sleeping in his hideout all day. To cheer him up, I take him out for a walk in the backyard as well as give him a variety of veggies to make him happy.

She’s literally the light of my life. She’s always happy and up for a cuddle or two and she’s so funny and energetic. She lifts up my mood and reminds me life is not always so bad.

How can you tell when your pet is feeling down? What do you do?

I’ve never seen her sad ever. Only one time she was a little bit down because she had to wear a cone but I just cuddled with her and after a while she was up and running again!

When I have something that’s on my mind and it’s bothering me I like to talk to my dog and let everything out. I also like to hug him and pet him because I like knowing that I’m making my dog happy, which in return makes me happy.

How can you tell when your pet is feeling down? What do you do?

When he’s constantly sleeping and when doesn’t have that excited and happy energy he usually has.
