Sabrina Carpenter debuted a new hair color ahead of her first show as the opening act of Taylor Swift’s ongoing world tour. The singer gave her signature blonde hairdo an Eras Tour-approved update with the help of celebrity hair colorist Laurie Heaps. Heaps, who has worked with names like Rowan Blanchard, Maddie Ziegler, and Jackie Cruz, shared how she created Sabrina’s new style.
Vanilla Sugar Blonde
Dubbed “Vanilla Sugar Blonde,” Sabrina’s new shade of blonde reflects the songstress’ explosive energy as the official opener for The Eras Tour’s Latin American leg. Heaps worked with Redken products to customize Sabrina’s hair before her performance in Mexico on August 24.
The two-part process involved a highlighting step and a glazing step for maximum color and gloss. First, the stylist highlighted Sabrina’s hair, using 60 ml of Redken’s Flash lift Bonder Inside and 60 ml 30 vol. Pro-oxide Cream Developer to achieve the “Vanilla Sugar” blonde shade in question. “This innovative choice not only effortlessly achieved the creamiest shade of blonde, but it also prioritized the health and integrity of her hair throughout the process with the help of Bonder Inside™,” Heaps shared.
Next, the color artist toned Sabrina’s hair with two separate tones of Shades EQ Gloss Bonder Inside — 1 oz. of 010 VV Lavender Ice and 1 oz. of. Crystal Clear, along with 2 oz. of the Shades EQ Processing Solution. Heaps emphasized the protective and hydrating benefits of her chosen Redken products, noting that the “built-in bonder in the bleach was an exceptional advantage.”
Thanks to Heaps’ easy-to-follow instructions, Sabrina’s bubbly new look is achievable with just a few products. It is also the perfect hair update for the last days of summer. “This is the perfect bright blonde hue for those looking to squeeze the most out of summer,” the hair color artist said.
Sabrina’s Year Ahead
Sabrina has had a whirlwind year so far. Her own “Emails I Can’t Send” tour, which started in September 2022, took her all over the world with 80 stops across Europe, Asia, and North and South America. After concluding the tour with a performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago and releasing a remix of FIFTYFIFTY’s viral song “Cupid – Twin Ver.” in August, Sabrina embarked on The Eras Tour with four shows in Mexico City. The “nonsense” singer will be opening for Taylor Swift for both the upcoming South American and Asian legs of her tour, continuing to solidify her presence in the global music scene.
