On February 12th, Rihanna took the Super Bowl stage during the halftime show. The historic night saw her perform her greatest hits and announce her second pregnancy. It is no surprise that Rihanna, thee Businesswoman, carved part of her performance to highlight the Fenty Beauty Invisimatte Setting + Blotting Powder. After all, the brand has allowed her to become a billion-dollar name. Since its release, Fenty Beauty has revolutionized the way brands launch foundation and concealer products. The product placement in her set lit the internet ablaze, with fans meme-ing and commenting on the set.

A consummate fashion icon, RiRi shocked the world, standing on stage in a bright red set. The ensemble featured a custom-made sculpted bustier by LOEWE, worn underneath an open jumpsuit in matching color. LOEWE took to Instagram to share the process behind the look, highlighting the texture and layers’ play. About the look, LOEWE’s creative director, Jonathan Anderson shared, “I’m so excited to have been part of this unforgettable moment. Additionally, the singer sported a pair of  MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon Cross Low Sneakers and a watch from Jacob & Co. Midway through her performance, Rihanna also threw an Alaïa maxi puffer coat on top. The statement piece was quickly linked to the late fashion editor André Leon Talley, who was recognized for sporting a Norma Kamali sleeping bag coat.

Although the overall impact of RiRi’s halftime show is yet to be revealed, the software and data company Launchmetrics shared the staggering Media Impact Value™ (MIV®) her performance gathered in the first 12 hours. As per their data, “Rihanna’s performance mentions (within the Super Bowl context) generated $88.3M in MIV.” Meanwhile, Rihanna’s brands, Fenty Beauty and Savage x Fenty generated $5.6M and $2.6M in MIV®, respectively.  With her widely discussed — and praised — fashion, Rihanna also earned $2.4M in MIV® for LOEWE, and $1.7M in MIV® for Alaïa.
