On June 18, Japanese singer Yuta Nakamoto made an anticipated appearance at the Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2025 show. Ahead of the collection unveiling, the star posed for a series of photos out and about in the City of Lights. Yuta’s look ticked all the boxes on summer’s hottest trends: statement denim, pops of blue, and ‘70s-inspired hair.

Because the superstar can also do dapper dressing, his front-row fit flipped the script and offered a free — and unexpected — lesson on color coordination and tailored style for the summer.

Ahead, EnVi dives into Yuta’s season-fitting Paris Fashion Week wardrobe.

Airport Style

Since his departure from Incheon, South Korea, Yuta served looks and star power with a Louis Vuitton-powered wardrobe. En route to Paris, the singer swapped his classic rocker aesthetic with a “functional high-fashion” fit featuring a new colorway of the Louis Vuitton Speedy P9 Bandoulière bag. Hints of loungewear — a printed “LV pyjama” shirt worn as outerwear — camo print and a sports watch tied the look together.

The Denim

Once in Paris, Yuta showcased his fondness for the relaxed side of denim. While strolling in the city, he slipped on a denim jacket featuring a checker motif — LV’s Damier pattern, to be more specific. Light amber stitching created a geometric grid across the jacket that contrasted with the dark denim textile.

Yuta revived the giant fit chino trend of 2023 for the bottom part of the look. Still on a summer-appropriate note, the singer sported ultra-wide-leg khaki pants with turquoise beading. The miniature waist beads served as the detail connecting his clothes and his outfit’s key point — a mini statement bag.

The Speedy P9 Bandoulière 25

Resurrecting a timeless piece, Yuta walked around town holding a Speedy P9 Bandoulière 25 in his grasp. The cult-classic bag has cemented itself into the foundations of Louis Vuitton after being popularized in 1965 by Audrey Hepburn. In 2023, Pharell Williams revamped the classic Speedy bag after taking the helm of the French Maison.

As a friend of the house, Yuta received first dibs on one of the bag’s newest colorways. The bright cyan tone is still unreleased to the public but was first seen in the Men’s Fall Winter 2023 collection.

Yuta also posed along a Horizon suitcase, customized with red accents. The presence of travel pieces was a nod to creative director Pharrell Williams’ penchant for travel items in his collections. Pushing the brand’s global mentality, luggage and bags were dispersed throughout his latest runway to represent authentic human connection.

The Beauty

As his lookbook proves, Yuta isn’t one to shy away from daring trends. Cherry cola hair, black nail polish and man buns… he has rocked them all! For his Parisian getaway, the Play It Cool, Guys actor sported his honey-brown hair in very subtle waves that blew in the wind for an effortlessly cool look. This ‘70s-inspired hairstyle matched his outfit’s casual silhouette flawlessly.

Front Row Ready

On the show day, Yuta flipped the script on his previous comfort-leaning outfits and embraced dapper dressing. Mirroring the tailored looks presented on the runway, Yuta sported a pair of black flared pants styled with a chocolate-dark vest. The double-breasted piece featured statement pearl buttons and allowed his armband tattoo — a chain tied by a lock — to take part in the styling too. As for accent pieces, Yuta donned a single pearl earring, a sleek silver timepiece, chunky boots and a classic LV monogram duffel bag.

Yuta’s look was not only summer-fitting, but it also redeemed the divisive brown and black style formula fashionistas are so wary of. As a final tip on summer style, Yuta opted for a wet-hair look, demonstrating that this hairstyling trend is still going strong, especially during this season.

The SS25 show marked Yuta’s sophomore appearance at a Williams-directed show. Similar to other house friends and guests, Yuta shared that his senses were invigorated by the storytelling and creative direction. “To me, the runway looked like a show representing the future,” he said. “Seeing the models walking towards the light was inspiring, and it made me want to work harder. I also thought that the sense of the venue coming together was very Pharrell-like,” he shared in a statement.

Yuta’s Lessons on Style

Veering from his rockstar roots, Yuta’s Parisian wardrobe proved he can conquer any aesthetic he chooses. The singer put together easy breezy summer looks with classic items like white T-shirts, embroidered denim and pops of trendy colors like pink and cyan. He then also schooled us on polarizing color combinations and showed the world how to don tailored pieces with a modern flair. As Parisians would say, je kiffe grave!
