From Medellin, Colombia, Latin America’s superstar Feid is back to bring the summer heat. After the success of his last release, FERXXO VOL X: Sagrado, Feid returns with EL GREEN PRINT: La Saga – FEID VS FERXXO, the first installment in a four-part album series set to drop throughout the year. The project features seven new tracks, including a special appearance by Yuki Chiba.

BATTLE OF THE X

A storyteller navigating between his alter ego (FERXXO) and his true self (Feid), Feid has used his work to create a world that brings both personas together. Feid expresses his genuine personality and emotions, while FERXXO embraces the lifestyle shaped by fame, success, and a reputation as a solo traveler.

This storyline began around 2020, when he first introduced himself as FERXXO, and has continued to develop across projects like INTER SHIBUYA – LA MAFI and FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS FERXXO TE PIRATEAMOS EL ÁLBUM. As a way to reintroduce and further explore this universe, Feid welcomes listeners into EL GREEN PRINT: La Saga – FEID VS FERXXO.

The album opens with “Que Vuelta Vox,” where Feid is immediately placed in the middle of this internal battle between personas. A soft R&B track with hints of reggaeton, it introduces the project with a smooth, almost jazzy touch — light drums, subtle trumpet accents, and slow-paced beats. The track highlights Feid’s emotional side as he reflects on lost love. Hidden beneath the catchy rhythm, however, the lyrics say a different story. He confesses: “If you’re not here, I don’t know what will become of me / I don’t know when it was that I lost her / With these same eyes, I saw her / Even my mental health left with her.” The song closes the same way it begins: with a jazzy outro and a final confession to his ex-lover.

The next track, “EL HEXXO,” continues Feid’s emotional tone and maintains the theme of heartbreak. The song centers around a failed situationship, with Feid expressing regret over not taking it seriously. It feels like both an apology and a reflection, while also subtly shifting some of the blame to his lover. He sings, “Y si de mí vos te llegás a acordar, total fuimos algo / un casi algo anormal” and “Aunque fue rico meterme con ella / Alguien me dijo, cuidao ahí te estrellas.”

Shifting into a more tropical, Caribbean-inspired sound, “La Mejor Música” brings a brighter, more upbeat energy to the album. Compared to the previous tracks, it leans into romance, with Feid serenading, “I love you, I adore you, be my lover / Let your gaze warm the cold nights” and “I want to keep your kisses / Tonight, you’re my drug.” Here, he expresses a desire for lasting love, describing his partner as an addictive presence he never wants to lose, while also embracing a slightly sultry tone. The production mirrors the track’s intimate feeling. Soft synths and percussion instruments such as woodblocks and hi-hats keep the rhythm of the song steady.

BRINGING THE BEAT BACK

The vibe of the album shifts with the transition from “La Mejor Musica” to “Medellín Takai.” The sound moves from tropical rhythms to a faster-paced reggaeton. In “Medellín Takai,” Feid seems to fade into the background as FERXXO takes center stage. After first collaborating on “Omote II” in 2025, Feid reunites with Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba once again for his sixth studio album.

Together, the duo creates a club-like track that showcases both artists’ language skills and rap flows. FERXXO brings the raunchy energy he’s known for, rapping about desire and the woman he’s dancing with. Meanwhile, Yuki joins in the first verse, adding to the global vibe by referencing Colombia as his second home and referring to the girl accompanying him as his new favorite artist.

Playful ad-libs, including a woman’s voice saying, “What? Don’t get it, but I like it,” weave through the track. It closes with a catchy call-and-response, with FERXXO and Yuki bantering, “Medellín’s expensive / Tokyo’s expensive,” while heavy bass and continuous synths give it an electronic, intimate feel. Blending Colombian and Japanese influences, the song emerges as a fresh club anthem that makes it hard to stay still.

The album continues its reggaeton influence with “Trankaito.” The track opens with isolated guitar strings, offering a slower, quieter start than the previous song. The reggaeton production undercuts the sorrowful lyrics, which feel especially intimate for Feid as he admits: “All the things I write to you but don’t send / Give me one night and I’ll say goodbye, baby, eh.” In the first chorus and verse, Feid expresses regret over hurting someone who is no longer in his life, before the track is briefly interrupted as it moves into the second verse.

As if FERXXO is tired of getting caught up in these emotions, the track suddenly shifts to an old-school reggaeton beat for about 20 seconds. The energy spikes, evoking a sound straight from the 2000s, and the storytelling pauses briefly. With a sexier tone, FERXXO sings: “My chi-chi-chimbita porn star, today you’re a gangster / Whatever you’re wearing, I’m gonna take it off / B-E-L-L-A-QUEO.” This line marks a complete turn from the heartbreak Feid originally conveys. The track then returns to its initial story, ending on the same note of lingering heartbreak.

A HEARTBREAKING ENDING

The ending track for FEID VS FERXXO is “Boleritoxx,” a song centered around the theme of heartbreak and Feid’s personal emotions. The production shifts back to stripped-down guitar and slower pacing, bringing the project full circle. The track feels distinct from the emotional rollercoaster we’ve encountered throughout, instead settling into a more reflective and intimate space. Replicating a heartbreak that might feel close to home for many listeners, the song appears to mirror a phase in Feid’s personal life. As Feid reminisces on a past relationship, he reveals how her scent and presence linger in his daily thoughts, even going as far as to suggest he whispers her name like a prayer when he drinks.

As his surroundings begin to change and glimpses of happiness slowly return, there remains a quiet sense that this love will never fully leave him. With “Boleritoxx,” Feid pours his heart out, stepping away from rap verses and leaning fully into his vocals. He lets his hurt shine through with the lines: “Like an angel, I was going to take care of you / the memories stayed on video, no hard feelings / I wish you the best.”
