Get Ready for the Lunar New Year Gold Celebration with Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova
As the members of Team EnVi approached her hotel room in New York City, actress and model Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova stuck her head out into the hallway and let out a bubbly “hi!” before everyone shuffled in and quickly started setting up. Inside, the space quickly turned into the natural, controlled pre-event chaos one would expect as you get ready for a lavish party. Garment pulls hanging up, makeup products spread across the nearest flat surface, and a steady hum of the bright light setup as makeup artist Blake Johnson started on her full glam.
If Kharlamova’s bright energy felt familiar, it’s because it’s the same authenticity that’s made her a breakout favorite as Svetlana Vetrova on Crave’s Heated Rivalry, a role she connected to instantly, especially as a Russian-speaking performer who’s long wanted to play a character in her first language.
Ksenia was getting ready for the inaugural Gold House Lunar New Year Gold Celebration, a New York Fashion Week gathering that brought together Asian Pacific creatives and leaders to mark the holiday with community at the center. For her, the night was also personal as she was there in support of her co-star Hudson Williams, who co-hosted the celebration alongside actress Yerin Ha and a lively mix of artists, designers, and innovators flowing through Chinese Tuxedo in Manhattan’s Chinatown.
Back in the hotel room, Ksenia kept things refreshingly candid. Below, read everything she shared with EnVi about her beauty and skincare routines. Including the songs that get her in the right headspace, the makeup staples she’d repurchase forever, the simple skincare regimen she refuses to complicate, and the curly hair method she swears by.
On if she’s a three-step or ten-step girl, she said, “Three steps. Definitely three steps. She walked us through her night routine: “I wash my face, hyaluronic acid serum, moisturizer then caffeine under my eyes.”
As her base went on, Bobbi Brown’s Vitamin Enriched Face & Eye Base, then Westman Atelier Vital Skin Foundation Stick + Brightening Concealer, Ksenia’s rule held: “Whenever I do too much, my skin doesn’t like it.” On the product she’s currently obsessed with, she said, “I recently started using the Chanel Ultra Le Teint Foundation… I got it last week, and I’m already obsessed. I think I’m gonna be using it for years.”
When talking about the music she listens to while getting ready, she said, “Rock always makes you feel sexy and confident, and I like rap too. So maybe some Nine Inch Nails, some throwback Future… oh, and Megan Thee Stallion has a song called “‘Cocky AF,” that song is so good.”
“I don’t really follow makeup trends, because sometimes not all makeup trends look good on everyone. So I kind of just like know my face and what looks good on me,” Ksenia shared. “But I like clean girl makeup, that’s a trend. I like people embracing their natural features.”
Makeup artist Blake Johnson used CHANEL Beauty Cream Blush in Red Camellia, blurred with Make Up For Ever’s Endless Cacao lip liner, to complete Ksenia’s rosy lip look.
Ksenia’s curls are part of her signature look, when asked about her routine and how she protects them at night, she said, “I am a product junkie,” and shared that she rotates products often. Her routine is simple: “I use a curl cream and like a gel… I just brush it through after I shower. Sometimes I put a bit of hairspray sometimes… to lock them in,” and added, “I also wear a bonnet to sleep.”
Ksenia cites the late Jane Birkin as one of her biggest style inspirations. “Her outfits are so simple but so beautiful.” She added, “I thrift a lot… I don’t really follow current trends. Whatever looks good on me looks good on me. It doesn’t need to be from this decade.”
Ksenia donned a archival golden brown Vivienne Westwood ANGLOMANIA midi dress that perfectly complemented her hair and complexion. She paired it with a black fur coat, simple slingback heels and a purple clutch,
With glam finished and the last checks done, Team EnVi hopped in the car with Ksenia to capture a few on-the-go moments as she headed to the event. On the ride over, she expressed her excitement about what was coming next for New York Fashion Week and days later, she made that leap official, walking for Christian Cowan‘s FW26 shows in her runway debut. What stands out is how steady she is in the middle of it— self-assured and never trying to be anything other than herself.
