The arrival of celebrities at The Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of the highlights of the Met Gala. For stars getting ready at New York’s iconic The Mark Hotel, however, there’s a red carpet drill as they leave the five star-hotel. Surrounded by photographers and fans, the Met Gala attendants offer a preview of their looks.

Ke Huy Quan wore a custom-made Dior black striped wool peak lapel suit, a white cotton wide collar shirt, a black striped silk wide tie, a silver brooch with CD letters, black leather fingerless gloves, and black leather boots.

He Cong sported the Karl Lagerfeld tribute look created by Sacai’s Chitose Abe for Vogue’s May issue. The look mixes the German designer’s iconic style with Sacai’s house codes.

Following the dress code, “in honor of Karl,” Gigi Hadid wore a corseted sheer dress by Givenchy. The total-black look was complemented with pearl accessories and diamond jewelry from Smiling Rocks and Lagos.

Eileen Gu was present at the event representing IWC Schaffhausen. The athlete wore Robert Wu’s “The Wine Stain Gown,” accessorized with a gold rose timepiece.
