On June 11, Netflix released a teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of Arcane (2021), which is slated for release in November 2024. As seen in the new trailer and imagery, the new season will see protagonists Jinx and Vi go head-to-head. Below, watch the new teaser trailer and explore exclusive stills from the show.

Arcane Season Two: The Series Finale

Show creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee confirmed via a press statement that the forthcoming second season of Arcane will also be the show’s last. “From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of Arcane wraps up with this second season,” Linke said.

In the new season, tension between familiar sister duo Jinx and Vi continues to grow as Piltover and Zaun head towards full-blown conflict following Jinx’s attack on the Council. Characters from the first season, including Caitlin, Heimerdinger, and Ekko, will return alongside an array of new — though perhaps recognizable — faces as the series comes to a conclusion. According to Annie Award-winner Ella Purnell, who voices Jinx in the show, via TechRadar, the season finale will be emotional beyond expectation: “It’s devastating, and nobody will feel good after watching it.”

Though Arcane may be ending, fans of Arcane and League of Legends alike can look forward to future ventures through Runeterra. “Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche,” Linke shared. “Arcane is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra.”
