Unlike their hit song “Super Shy” might suggest, the girls of NewJeans are no strangers to the spotlight. The quartet is often spotted front, right, and center at international events, mingling with the fashion elite. Case in point: on October 2, the group’s vocalist, Hyein, attended the Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2024 show.

Since her appointment as a global brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton, the K-pop star has found herself sporting the latest trends at countless events for the fashion house and her latest appearance at Paris Fashion Week was no different. For the occasion, the singer put a spin on one of the biggest beauty trends of 2023 — latte makeup

Latte Makeup

Conquering baby bangs, black nail polish, and now latte makeup, K-pop star Hyein seems to be on a trend parade as she hops from one fashion capital to the next. In her most recent public appearance, the NewJeans member stepped out in Champs-Élysées for the Louis Vuitton show, wearing this year’s most popular beauty trend — with an autumn twist.

To start off this modern look, Hyein’s face was prepped with a light layer of glowy foundation and cream highlighter for a glass skin effect. Then, the skin was lightly sculpted with bronzer to give a natural V-line effect. For that NewJeans signature, Hyein’s makeup artist tapped baby peach and orange blush right under her eyes.

Pumpkin Spice Twist

Hinting at Louis Vuitton’s signature color, bold tangerine eyeshadow put a spin on the traditional latte eye makeup. Some could even call this pumpkin spice latte makeup, as the eye look heavily leaned into warm tones. Pumpkin orange was swept onto the upper and lower eyelids to make the eyes appear large and round. The next step was applying rich chocolate brown shadows on the eyelid just below the crease, creating depth. Cocoa brown shadow was also placed on the outer lower lash line for a smokey, doe-eyed look. Then, shimmery peach pigment was skillfully placed on the inner corner and upper eyelid for a glimmering effect.

Hyein’s eyes were rimmed with a preliminary coat of brown pencil liner to sharpen up her eyes with an inner corner wing. Using dark brown gel liner, an equally crisp dark brown cat eye balanced the look. Finally, Hyein’s take on latte makeup took a fall-approved turn with matte apricot lipstick.

As this makeup was a youthful take on latte makeup, it’s only fitting that the idol sported a Barbie ponytail. Keeping with the modern edge, Hyein’s hair was styled to give the appearance of lived-in waves. Cool and hip, the high ponytail also featured large chunks of face-framing pieces and baby bangs to match.

Louis Vuitton Cool

Despite being fresh on the scene, Hyein took fashion by its reins with her 1980s-inspired jumpsuit and patent leather statement bag. In fashion maven style, the K-pop idol wore a Louis Vuitton jumpsuit, paired with black Beaubourg Platform Ankle Boots. Glamming up the military-style outfit, Hyein accessorized with the Crazy In Lock Choker necklace and multiple Symphony Rings. Finishing off this luxury ensemble, the artist carried a shiny, navy and kelly green Petite Malle Handle bag all night.
