Scandi Cool, Olympic Spirit, and Food for Thought Defined Street Style at Copenhagen Fashion Week

Between August 5 and 9, Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW) attracted a slew of trend connoisseurs to its shows. Over the five days, popular Scandinavian brands debuted their Spring Summer 2025 collections to stylish audiences. Dressed in their best attire, CPHFW attendees brought the dreamiest Pinterest style boards to life. I couldn’t be otherwise, Copenhagen’s street style is a trend-setting guide to fashion for the final stretch of summer.

The streets of Copenhagen were painted with lace and naked dresses, denim of all kinds and pastel colors. Notably, statement bags — some oversized, others pleasantly colorful — completed several outfits. Organic silhouettes seemingly took the spotlight this year, with crowds wearing a variety of flowing pants, pleated skirts, oversized coats and loose-fitting tops.

As the Paris 2024 Olympic Games unfold, Olympic spirit also inspired the wardrobes of show-goers. Football jerseys, rugby t-shirts, athleisure and sportswear-infused clothing brought a casual summer flair to the streets — and perhaps a dash of patriotism too.

There was also space for social statements and solidarity. After all, in a creativity-driven industry like fashion, clothes are not just an aesthetic element as much as they are a tool for expression, sparking conversation and highlighting societal issues.
