Holidays are looming in the air, but with Team EnVi’s weekly Sunday Spin, there’s always something to celebrate. This week’s artists have us jumping around dancing one second and contemplating every relationship the next, and we love it. The one thing we can say for sure? If you’re looking for your new favorite artist, you’re in the right place.
Rin – “best interest”
Rin has your “best interest” in mind this week by laying the situation out for exactly what it is: “take it or leave it.” With airy, soft vocals, “best interest” is now Rin’s second release of the year after “homebody,” which quickly gained popularity on social media and with her fans. Her music often tells the tale of introverts and messy relationships that come with youth, and “best interest” is no different.
Backed by a guitar and steady, simple percussion, Rin’s calming tone carries the listener through the song and makes a bad situation seem not so unfortunate. During the chorus, she sings, “Not a fight it or a fix it / You and I both know that’s not your best interest / What’s done is done and you know there’s no use.” Immediately upon release, Rin’s supportive and tight-knit fanbase started streaming the song. Rin expressed her gratitude on Instagram, saying, “Thank u for growing with me as I continue to make more and more music that I am super proud of.” As her two releases this year were back to back and have been combined on Spotify, it can be assumed that more tunes from Rin may be on the way.
ROHAN – “I Wish I Could Tell You”

ROHAN is back with the post-breakup anthem, “I Wish I Could Tell You,” stemming from his experiences of heartbreak and loss. The alt-pop artist and producer found inspiration all around him for the single and the DIY visualizer. The lyrics were written after his long-term relationship came to an end. “I originally wrote it as a folk song on my acoustic guitar in my San Francisco apartment after a volatile, unexpected breakup,” shared ROHAN in a press release. “Despite being lovers for over four years, my ex and I haven’t spoken a word to each other since that night, and the song became a release — a place to pour out everything I wished I could tell her but never could.”
As for the sound of the song, ROHAN pulls heavy influence from his inspirations Green Day, Skeggs, and Dominic Fike. Hailing from Melbourne, he aims to intertwine Australian indie rock with genres others typically wouldn’t, like R&B and folk. The visualizer for the track was a collaborative effort with director Mark Kohr. The visuals match the raw sound of the song with cool tones and nostalgic cinematic views. As the song was written, produced, and recorded solely by ROHAN, there isn’t a track that encapsulates his sound more than “I Wish I Could Tell You.”
NCT WISH – “poppop”
Shortly after celebrating their first anniversary, NCT WISH returned with their highly anticipated second mini album. NCT’s youngest unit show off their refreshing charms in the title track and album namesake, “poppop.” The title track is a pop song with playful melodies and an addictive hook. Just as the title suggests, “poppop” describes the explosive feeling of falling in love. NCT WISH sing in the chorus: “Lemonade fizzing in my mouth, pop / Rainwater sparkling between the blocks, pop / A sunburned can of coke goes pop / Feeling go pop.” The choreography also plays on the pop motif with plenty of expressive hand movements.
The accompanying music video is nothing short of magical. With each watch, you’re sure to find something new! SION, NCT WISH’s eldest and leader, plays the protagonist who eagerly awaits a response from his crush. As SION contemplates how to confess to his first love, members RIKU, YUSHI, JAEHEE, RYO, and SAKUYA join along for support. Thanks to NCT WISH and their mascot, WICHU, SION’s romantic journey is full of magic and surprises. The music video is bursting with colors and adorable imagery — perfect for this upbeat summer song!
Leah Nawy – “Mixing Patterns”

Vibrant and authentic, Taiwanese-American singer-songwriter Leah Nawy takes listeners on a sonic journey with “Mixing Patterns.” This single is an empowering tune full of self-discovery, intensified through a momentum-building indie pop sound. Thanks to Nawy’s expertise as a producer and multi-instrumentalist with a background in classical music, the theme of rebirth is also developed sonically. The climactic bridge ventures into a lo-fi outro that signifies “release and a fresh start.”
Nawy masterfully blends musical genres like indie rock, folk, and soul to encapsulate the stories and messages that shaped her life. “Mixing Patterns” began as one of the earliest demos Nawy created, and as she evolved as an artist, so did the song. “Mixing Patterns” marks an epiphany in her expansive musical journey. “It’s about starting over on your own terms — letting go of old habits, trusting yourself, and embracing change,” Nawy shared in a press release. “It’s the first song that truly felt like me, and it’s followed me through every stage of becoming the artist I am now.”
Leon Thomas – “RATHER BE ALONE (feat. Halle)”
Though “RATHER BE ALONE” starts off with a folk-like tone, Leon Thomas quickly offsets this by slowing it down, adding R&B-inspired percussion, and an eerie but soothing vocal echo. The theme of the song focuses on self-imposed isolation. The sound represents this through vocals that surround the listener while also feeling expansive, as if there are no walls. Thomas slightly mumbles the lyrics throughout the song, keeping them to himself instead of projecting them to his audience.
Thomas repeats throughout the chorus, “I’d rather be alone / Rather be alone / Than in a broken home / I’d rather be alone.” After the first chorus, he is met by Halle, telling the opposing side of the story. Attempting to lure him back in, she sings, “I take my time / Losing my mind / I’m thinking of you all of the time.” She continues her verse until ultimately coming to say, “But you’d rather be alone.” In the end, “RATHER BE ALONE” is a story of a headstrong man with his pride on the line, wanting to succeed for both of them while also wanting a separate life.
KWON EUNBI – “Hello Stranger”

EUNBI is feeling reawakened with her new fast-paced single, “Hello Stranger.” The rhythm is perfect for those looking for a night out on the town, full of dancing and trying to find the perfect stranger. EUNBI welcomes a sudden somebody into her life throughout the song, wanting to know more and to get closer. The chorus holds an electronic beat with a quick tempo as the singer’s sweet signature tone turns into something more intense.
In the dark music video, EUNBI enchants her soon-to-be lover while wearing a red goddess-like dress, stunning the viewers. Her dance is just as strong as the beat, with powerful movements and an ensemble surrounding her dressed in black, matching her energy. In the pre-chorus, EUNBI pulls in the listener, singing, “I don’t care / Come feel this heat / Chase me down through this beat / I’m on your mind on your mind.” If you’re looking for your next empowering and intriguing girl pop hit, look no further than “Hello Stranger,” bringing sexy and strong to your Sunday.
Dena – “Irresistible”
Singer-songwriter Dena is ready to captivate listeners across the globe with her newest single, “Irresistible.” Known for her clever twists on beloved hits, this Taipei-via-Los Angeles songstress is always creatively elevating her career. Dena was recently appointed as the Maybelline Taiwan brand ambassador, and what better way to celebrate than a new song? “Irresistible” is the perfect musical accompaniment to your makeup routine.
Beyond its irresistible pop beat fused with R&B elements, the song is brimming with positive affirmations. The lyrics inspire listeners to live as their authentic selves and navigate their day with confidence. The song kicks off with the iconic Maybelline tag-line, “Maybe it’s Maybelline,” followed by some words of advice from Dena: “Tears are just glitter in liquid form. Let them fall, then touch up your lipstick and conquer the world.” If you’re looking for a sonic pick-me-up to conquer this spring season, look no further!
Vulgar Savior – “I’m Here”

Taiwanese indie band Vulgar Savior captures the quiet weight of waiting on “I’m Here” (我在這裡等你), a standout from their second album Little Battle. Formed in 2020, the four-piece band — Song Chia Yun, Ray Chen, Lo Hao Yu, and Samuel Chen — have built a loyal following through their emotionally grounded writing and layered sound. “I’m Here” centers on the kind of heartbreak that unfolds slowly: unanswered messages, blurred days, and the lingering question of whether someone will ever come back. The instrumentation stays bright and steady, contrasting with the emotional stagnation of the song’s lyrics. Just before the bridge, a sharp guitar solo cuts through giving the song a new life. It’s the one part of the song that feels like motion, even if nothing really changes and the protagonist is still waiting.
Other tracks in this week’s Sunday Spin playlist include “Offa Me (feat. Victoria Monet)” by Davido, “Apocalypse!!!” by RENE, and “Blue Roses (feat. Olivia Marsh)” by Nancy Kwai. Listen to everything mentioned and more, curated by Team EnVi only for you on Spotify.
