Saint Levant, Mohammed Assaf – “MASKARA”
Makeup isn’t the only thing that defines beauty. Saint Levant and Mohammed Assaf team up in their new track “MASKARA” to tell listeners that beauty runs more than skin-deep. Sampling dialogue from an older woman listing beauty rituals such as makeup and manicures, the intro first demonstrates how women tend to their appearance. As the track progresses, Saint Levant and Mohammed Assaf declare that women are beautiful regardless of how they achieve glamorous looks. The pair sing about seeking a gorgeous woman’s hand in marriage, even if she has a bare face with no filters.
Set as the lead track on Saint Levant’s latest album AFANDI, “MASKARA” establishes a festive atmosphere. Though the song’s lyrics honor women, the beauty of Palestinian community is the true center of the music video — whether putting on makeup, having an impromptu singing competition, or spending family time at home, the community finds joy together. Whether you wear “MASKARA” or not, be sure to add this song in your rotation for an instant pick-me-up.

ONE OR EIGHT – “INVINCIBLE”

Japan is bringing on the heat with new music from rising pop sensation ONE OR EIGHT. After a successful show at the Head in the Clouds music festival in Los Angeles, the group has released its latest single, “INVINCIBLE.” Performed for the first time for festival attendees, the track immediately caught the attention of fans in the crowd. Different from their fast-paced tracks, “INVINCIBLE” is an ode to ONE OR EIGHT’s fanbase, capturing the group’s affection for those who have supported them throughout their challenges and journey. The track showcases another side of the group through its emotional lyrics, confessing, “Look at the brighter days / ’Cause we been through the darkest nights.” The song feels like a memorable present for fans who have been eagerly awaiting their comeback.
“INVINCIBLE” is the second track released ahead of the group’s anticipated EP EN-GÏNE, set to be released on September 16. The EP will feature six tracks in total, including four previously unheard songs. As they head back on tour for their “ONE OR EIGHT Special SHOW CASE 2026 in ASIA,” the group shows that they are ready to keep the summer heat alive, even during the chilliest months.

Sailor Honeymoon – “Red”

Sailor Honeymoon is far from your average Korean girl group. The trio are a punk rock force ready to take their artistry from Korea’s independent music scene to the world. Their first full-length album, The Worst of Sailor Honeymoon, captures the idiosyncrasies of life in South Korea in a way that is universally relatable. The 13 tracks combine Sailor Honeymoon’s humor-embedded storytelling with their musical talents for a project that is uniquely their own.
“We just want to make something meaningful,” vocalist and drummer Abi Raymaker said in a press release. “A lot of cultural things exported from Korea to an international audience are held to an incredibly high standard. They look perfect, sound perfect and feel very carefully controlled. We just wanted to make something that felt human.”
The Worst of Sailor Honeymoon’s ninth track, “Red,” is an ode to Korean medicinal candy made from red ginseng. The candy itself is polarizing for its strong flavor, and Sailor Honeymoon refer to the candy as a message of committing to things you may be hesitant to try. The lyrics encourage the listener to have a taste for themselves: “Even if it’s not sweet / Gwenchana (괜찮아), it’s alright / Take it, just take it / Red ginseng, flavored candy.”

teem – “ME N U”

Multi-instrumentalist and producer teem is building up toward his upcoming full-length album with an explosive fourth single, “ME N U.” This new release is a stark contrast to the almost melancholic sounds of previous singles like “tomatoes” and “slowly.” teem dives headfirst into an alt-rock and pop-punk fusion that delivers an intensity undiscovered thus far in his discography. The dynamic chorus flooded with rock elements works in unexpected tandem with teem’s vocals. Though teem is originally known for decorating dialed-down acoustic tunes, “ME N U” proves that his musical possibilities are endless.
“Moving into an alt-rock space for this current single felt like the most natural way to express the raw, cathartic energy of this specific stage in the narrative,” teem shared in a press release. “With ‘ME N U,’ I wanted listeners to feel as though they’re thrown into a loud, tense, and vulnerable environment all at once.”

Creepy Nuts – “Running Wheel”

Japan’s hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts is back to make us feel the rush with their latest single, “Running Wheel.” The duo is stepping into a new era with a fresh sound, blending phonk beats with distorted, high-impact synths. As its title suggests, the track pumps up the energy, making listeners feel as if a race is about to begin. Originally written for Honda’s N-BOX CUSTOM, the track now serves as the duo’s momentum as they continue to expand internationally, with lyrics referencing their current experiences performing on stages beyond Japan. Dreams do come true, and with lyrics such as “We’ll set off fireworks even in your country / Look, we’ve crossed borders again,” Creepy Nuts is just getting started.
After making their Coachella debut this year, the duo is heading back to Asia this fall to join “The Weeknd: After Hours til Dawn Tour – Live in Asia,” which includes 11 stadium shows across South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. The duo is expected to bring their captivating energy to new listeners and veteran fans alike.

Centimillimental, Arash Buana – “madoromi”

Unexpected combinations can be the sweetest ones, as displayed by Centimillimental and Arash Buana. The pair entered a studio session together for practice, but came out with a track ready to be released. Despite the language barrier, Arash Buana revealed the ease of working together, saying, “I feel that the music itself became our language.” Marking the first collaboration Centimillimental has done since his debut, “modorami” combines the sentimentality of both artists. The collaboration progressed naturally, as the track was finished within two studio sessions.
A soft ballad, the single’s instrumental is composed of piano and acoustic guitar. Amid the dreamy sound, Centimillimental and Arash Buana’s voices express a deep yearning for their lovers. In the late night hours, the two reflect on where their respective relationships stand and how deep their affection goes. “Even when I’m dozing off / Do you want me?” they question in the chorus. “You’re someone who never disappears, what about you? / I need you in my life.” Though their thoughts may be fleeting, Centimillimental and Arash Buana emphasize that their devotion will not fade.

Michelle Maciel, Jasiel Nuñez – “como ella si <3”
The Mexican regional and corrido genres have experienced a major uprising over the last couple of years, with Michelle Maciel among the artists in the industry challenging and reshaping the norms established within the genre. The singer-songwriter is back with his newest collaborative single, “como ella si <3.” Teaming up once again with Jasiel Nuñez, the track tells a romantic tale of a relationship that had to end and the peace found in a new relationship, which is described as a blessing come true. Michelle sings, “Girl, you’re on your way out / And the love of my life walked right in.” Not wanting to lose his newfound love and sense of home, he sings, “I’m faithful to my girl, and I don’t plan to screw things up, much less if it’s because of you.”
Both artists are known for their ability to blend different genres into Mexican regional music. This track mixes traditional acoustic guitar melodies with pop synth beats. The balance between soft energy and emotional heaviness carries throughout the song and ties it back to its title, “con ella si <3” (“with her, yes”) — a statement that love is out there and that the opportunity to be loved again is closer than expected.

Dana Salah – “Majnooneh”

Dana Salah refuses to fit into anyone’s standards; instead, she’ll just go “Majnooneh” (crazy.) Formerly known as electro-pop DJ and producer King Deco, Palestinian-Jordanian artist Dana Salah is showing how to embrace differing identities. “Majnooneh,” her title track off her new album Bent Bladna, links every version of Dana Salah together. As listeners quickly come to learn, she’s not crazy, just ambitious and confident in pursuing her dreams.
Set as part of an audition, Dana Salah adopts different personas in the song’s music video. Each segment represents a homage to the real journey that has led to her becoming the artist she is today. No matter which one Dana Salah acts as, she finds herself being looked down upon by those nearby. First, she is the shy little girl dreaming of becoming a singer, then the woman who wants to dance instead of cooking with women in her family. Despite the pressure to accept a marriage proposal and the discouragement for her standing out, Dana Salah chooses to fulfill her own desires.
