Since 1998, when Chopard first established an official partnership with the French film festival, fine jewelry has become a hallmark of Cannes fashion and style. With the world’s attention focused on debuting cinema masterpieces and glitzy red carpets, the two-week event has emerged as the premier backdrop for luxury jewelers to showcase their most precious and newest creations.
Driving public attention and, sometimes, even sales, red carpets, photocalls and parties serve as an opportunity for exclusive brands to display pieces that would otherwise be only seen at stores and private showings. Last year, for example, Chopard emerged as the top brand at the Cannes Film Festival, garnering a staggering $37.3 million in Media Impact Value™ (MIV®) — Launchmetrics’ metric to assign a monetary value to every post, interaction or article to ultimately measure the impact and contributions of Voices, channels and regions to Brand Performance.
This year, the 77th Cannes Film Festival hasn’t strayed far from previous editions, bringing fashion and glamour to the foreground. And haute joaillerie is, of course, the jewel of the crown.
From the majestic Chopard pieces worn by Demi Moore, Rebecca Patricia Armstrong and Marina Ruy Barbosa to the Pomellato craftsmanship displayed on Turkish darling Hande Erçel and runway icon Helena Christensen; Find below all the breathtaking jewelry creations turning heads at the French Riviera’s most important annual event.
