Since her 2020 ambassador appointment, Korean-Australian singer Rosé has become a fixture at Saint Laurent’s global events. On September 24, the Melbourne native attended the brand’s Spring Summer 2025 show in Paris. Departing from her past all-black outfits, Rosé arrived in a lingerie-inspired slip dress, paired with pearlescent makeup and disco curls. Compared to past seasons, her glam felt different — softer, yet sultry; “very cutesy, very demure.”

Pearl Highlighter

The pearl highlighter trend has been all over the Korean idol scene and made it onto Rosé’s most recent public appearance. The trend focuses on shortening the mid-face with the use of ultra-glowy highlighter. To execute the technique, makeup artists strategically apply pearlescent highlighter on the tip of the nose, nose bridge, and inner corners of the eyes.

Following this technique, Rosé’s mid-face glowed with warm white pearlescence. The inner corner of her eyes, nose bridge and tip received a heavy dusting of highlighter. Creating a doe-eye effect, the inner corner highlighter was complemented with rose brown smokey shadow. Paired with the lacy slip dress, the makeup enhanced Rosé’s gaze with a romantic, dreamy veil.

Pro tip: If you want to recreate the pearly glam, use a highlighter with no visible chunks of glitter and apply with a small brush. Highlighters with a strong reflection are best for the step as they create a wet look.

Disco Curls

In the hair front, Rosé gave a spin to the ‘80s-inspired disco curls — ICYMI, this hairstyle has been making a comeback since spring. From Tracy Ellis Ross to Emily Ratajkowski, the hair trend traversed many Western celebrity appearances. The curly hairdo derives from the curls seen in the 1980s; hence the name disco.

Unlike past celebrity renditions, Rosé’s disco curls were swept up into a ponytail. The hairstyle captured her ringlets into a messy chic updo and revived the curly updos of eras past. But don’t fret, the hair look was nowhere close to the dated prom hairstyles of the past. Rather than being frozen with gel or adorned with butterfly clips, Rosé’s curls were playful and bouncy. The star’s hairstylist also left out front tendrils to frame her face. This hair look served as a statement crown for the delicate, sultry glam, adding the perfect playful touch to her front-row look.

After donning statement glasses and baby bangs on previous occasions, Rosé continues to serve glam and beauty inspiration. Her effortless pearl skin and disco curls at the Saint Laurent show proved that she is well-updated with the hottest beauty styles. More importantly, Rosé wasn’t afraid to mix and match the trends, achieving a perfectly in-vogue look that we can’t stop gushing about!
