UMI and BAEKHYUN – “Do What You Do”
If you’re looking for powerhouse vocals and ethereal aura, “Do What You Do” is exactly what you need. The song combines UMI’s meditative personality, BAEKHYUN’s commanding musical presence, and EL CAPITXN’s passionate production skills to create a match in heaven. From the first note, UMI takes the listener on a lush R&B story with a twinkling backtrack as she sings through the first verse and chorus, telling her side of the narrative. BAEKHYUN enters after the first chorus, interlacing his harmony with UMI’s for an intimate coupling throughout the remainder of the song.
“Do What You Do” delves into the temptation of returning to a past lover, someone you have physically left but always keep in mind. The lyric video unfolds in BAEKHYUN’s room, a nostalgic yet unfamiliar space full of memories and isolation. During the bridge, he takes the lead, singing, “I’ll be patient / I’ll be waiting / For you / Till we’re back again,” with UMI harmonizing under him. As he sings, he admires his memories of UMI and reaches for her as he would for the moon. “Do What You Do” is a romantic’s sonic paradise, with dreams of rekindling a lost connection and hoping that love will always flourish, no matter the challenge.

j-hope – “Sweet Dreams feat. Miguel”
BTS member j-hope is making his highly anticipated return to the music scene with “Sweet Dreams feat. Miguel,” his first release since his military discharge. This upbeat single arrives just ahead of the North American leg of his tour, “HOPE ON THE STAGE,” though lucky fans at his Seoul shows got an exclusive sneak peek. Known for his collaborations with artists like J-Cole and Becky G, he even hopped on Don Toliver’s track “LV Bag” alongside Pharrell Williams at the end of February. Continuing this streak, j-hope teamed up with R&B singer-songwriter Miguel for the refreshing love anthem, “Sweet Dreams.”
For j-hope fans, “Sweet Dreams” seems to be a perfect encapsulation of the artist’s optimistic persona. For newcomers, it serves as a charming introduction to his world. The music video, bathed in pastel hues and cotton candy sunsets, emphasizes the message of universal togetherness. As j-hope dances through gray days and scenes of mishaps, he spreads positivity, reminding us that any day can be sweet with the right mindset. The video even contains a surprise appearance from featured artist Miguel as he sits at a talk show host desk, hinting at the song’s first live recorded performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
f5ve – “Magic Clock”
With every release f5ve continues to hone their unique sound, and “Magic Clock” is their most upbeat and eccentric song yet. The lively production leans into hyperpop, guaranteed to have listeners dancing and rewinding repeatedly. Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, f5ve consists of five women united by a mission to replace fear with optimism and empowerment. “Magic Clock” embodies this statement, as it preaches a tune of positivity and love for the singers’ past, present, and future.
In the music video, f5ve is joined by every version of themselves – young and old – as they express their wish to return to moments they’ve shared with loved ones. TSURUGI of PSYCHIC FEVER stars in the video as the one who winds the women back and forth in time, entranced by their magical transformations. F5ve’s joyful exteriors are at the forefront of a pop-art-inspired set with clocks of all shapes and sizes, reflecting their love of fantasy personas and transcendent landscapes. If your week has been lacking pep, “Magic Clock” will bring your bounce back in no time.
Travis Japan – “Say I Do”
Travis Japan is here to set the season of spring in motion with their sweet new single, “Say I Do.” This bubbly, feel-good song is everything you need for sunlit daydreams and heart-fluttering confessions. Adding to its romantic, youthful glow, “Say I Do” will also serve as the theme song for TV Asashi’s upcoming show Honno Switch, starring none other than Travis Japan’s own Kaito Miyachika.
The fun doesn’t stop there! “Say I Do” is just one-half of a double-track release by the seven-member group. “Tokyo Crazy Night” arrives as the fiery counterpart to “Say I Do” with bold, after-dark intensity. With a double-track release like this, Travis Japan is serving both sugar and spice. And for fans who want even more, a physical version of the double-singles dropped just this Wednesday, featuring extra songs and exclusive behind-the-scenes video content.
Sabrina Claudio – “Need U To Need Me”
Reaching into the depths of her heart and vocals, Sabrina Claudio is laying bare her rawest and vulnerable side in “Need U To Need Me.” Claudio is set on not holding anything back in this song, centered around a hazy love slowly becoming one-sided. “Need U To Need Me” showcases stunning instrumentals with strings galore alongside Claudio’s atmospheric tone, matching her heavenly aesthetic for the song.
Filled with white lace, feathers, and alluring vocal runs, the single and the music video embrace Sabrina Claudio’s feminine nature. Elongating every word with breathy holds, she sings, “Like hours of sleep, baby / I need you to need me / And if I left, would you be broken / Or would it make you feel indifferently?” While “Need U To Need Me” is rather simple lyrically – spanning only ten lines over nearly three minutes – the complexity lies in the interplay of the harp, guitar, and airy background vocals. These elements take center stage for the majority of the song, creating a beautifully serene moment in time.
AleXa – “Sugarcoat”
AleXa is serving all the feels with her newest album, Sugarcoat. The title track, “Sugarcoat,” is the perfect indie-pop song for golden-hour drives with the windows down, contemplating whether to send that text. Breezy yet emotional, the song’s lyrics unpack love and miscommunication. Over a dreamy, guitar and drums beat, AleXa sings, “Didn’t know just how to put this/Sugarcoat it no,” capturing that moment where you’re trying to find the right words not to hurt your lover. There’s a bit of bittersweet nostalgia in this track, making it the perfect soundtrack for anyone caught between holding on and letting go.
JENNIE – “like JENNIE”
JENNIE is back and bolder with her highly anticipated solo debut album, Ruby. With this latest album, the pop star delivers a dazzling mix of attitude, elegance, and undeniable star power. From start to finish, the album radiates the kind of confidence only JENNIE can embody, proving once again no one can do it “like JENNIE.”
“Like JENNIE” is the second track on the album and our personal favorite. It’s drenched in charisma and set against a pulsing beat, the track turns self-love into a power move and radiates pure main character energy. Returning to her rapper roots, JENNIE effortlessly switches between English and Korean, spitting razor-sharp lines with the confidence of someone who knows she’s untouchable. The opening verse sets the tone immediately: “Special edition and your AI couldn’t copy.” Because let’s be real, who can be like JENNIE? She also calls out her critics, teasing them with lyrics like “Who else got’em obsessed like JENNIE?” and the ultimate truth bomb, “Haters, they don’t really like JENNIE/ ‘Cause they could never be JENNIE.” The track is playful, it’s powerful, and above all, it’s pure JENNIE.
Nabila Taqiyyah – “Salah Sangka”
Indonesian singer-songwriter Nabila Taqiyyah is here to deliver pure heartache in “Salah Sangka,” the latest release from her new album, Kekal Yang Sementara. A sentimental ballad drenched in sorrow, the song unravels the pain of broken promises and betrayal. With her delicate vocals, Nabila captures the devastation of being left behind by someone who once promised forever only to walk away for another woman. Each note lingers like an unspoken goodbye, with haunting piano melodies aching with longing and loneliness. “Salah Sangka” is a song reserved for those left picking up the pieces, finding solace in the echoes of what once was.
TREASURE – “YELLOW”
TREASURE is here to paint the town yellow! The powerhouse fourth-gen boy group is back with their highly anticipated mini-album, Pleasure. The title track “YELLOW” is a vibrant, feel-good song that captures the rush of falling in love. With lyrics co-written by member ASAHI, the song infuses TREASURE’s signature warmth and energy into a fresh new perspective on love, comparing it to the bright, golden hues of spring.
