NCT DREAM are moving history and dialing the future forward in their latest song โBTTF.โ Short for โback to the futureโ and inspired by the sci-fi franchise, the lyrics dive into the groupโs determination to take back their power to change the future through time travel. The group journey through their past to reflect and realize the importance of having regrets. The hip-hop dance track plays with retro beats and interweaves the distinct โNCT soundโ that carry their ambitions toward a new horizon. Traveling through space and time, the music video shows NCT DREAM in visually immersive scenes, sending them through a loop to both the past and future. โWe are the future,โ they declare.
Dominique Adhadiaz – โBlip (Seoul Mix)โ
Following the success of her introspective debut single โBlip,โ rising R&B and K-pop artist Dominique Adhadiaz returns with a remix, โBlip (Seoul Mix).โ โThis version was born out of my love for Korean music and my desire to connect deeper with fans who live between cultures,โ Dominique said in a press release. โWe wanted to keep the heartbeat of Blip, but give it a Seoul-flavored pulse.โ Infused with nostalgic R&B vibes and Y2K pop charm, this track elevates Adhadiazโs playful vocals into something dreamy and bold. Expanding on the original themes, โBlip (Seoul Mix)โ continues Adhadiazโs digital-era romance campaign โLove & Connection in the Digital Era,โ in partnership with RCD Records. The song explores the complexities of Gen Z dating culture from online love to ghosting. โSend your love signal back to me,โ she sings, waiting for a response across screens. YOON SAN-HA – โEXTRA VIRGINโ
After 11 months, YOON SAN-HA of ASTRO is back again to showcase his ever-evolving transformation in his second solo mini album CHAMELEON. The title track โEXTRA VIRGINโ is packed with punchy beats that are drawn from country style chord progressions and hip-hop rhythms. The title is inspired by the finest grade of olive oil and represents YOON SAN-HAโs unwavering charm. Lyrically, it shows his strong confidence and desire to make any genre his own, like a chameleon adapting its colors to new environments. โI change my skin without a hitch,โ he sings. The music video adds on to the fresh summer vibes with YOON SAN-HA playing guitar and dancing outside of a gas station on a bright day. Along with it are comedic elements of him trying to hitch-hike to the city and him being in the passenger seat with an olive mascot. FIG – โQuestionnaireโ
Singaporean Malaysian artist FIG is questioning about a mutual love in her latest single โQuestionnaire.โ The NYC-based artist has turned her experiences of sending Google forms to every crush sheโs ever had into this catchy indie-pop track. โDo you like bread? Do you like blue? Do you like me too?โ FIG repeats throughout the song as a way to casually ease into her confession. โQuestionnaireโsโ accompanied music video is a lighthearted one with Y2K elements and symbolic moments like fishing for her crushโs attention. WayV – โBIG BANDSโ
WayV are here to throw a punch with BIG BANDS. Following their sixth mini-album Frequency, the boys are back with a six-track album sure to get your body moving along. The title track โBIG BANDSโ is a funky, hip-hop track that mixes together playful lyrics and jazz. The energy for this song is big and bold with explosive lyrics like โYeah, we hit ya like big bands / Low notes and accent marks, we got โem big plans.โ The music video is also equal parts funk and swag as the members conquer chaos in a digitalized reality. Of course, WayV are going to match the groovy vibes with powerful choreography that screams chic and cool. โBIG BANDSโ is loud, proud, and definitely made for the stage! Naniwa Danshi – โOver the Horizon!โ
Looking for a song to set the rest of your summer right? Naniwa Danishi have you covered with their new fourth studio album BON BON VOYAGE! And the second track on this album, โOver The Horizon!โ is definitely a sonic serotonin boost for your day. The song bursts open with imagery like โFog clears and wakes up / The dazzling sun shines,โ painting a sunrise of hope and adventure. Itโs the kind of uplifting anthem made for spontaneous road trips and beach days. Sometimes, the reality of a toxic cycle can hit just as fast as falling in love. In โunder moon, NEON blร,โ Jakarta-based rapper Rai Anvio unpacks the dangers of codependency that has trapped him in a love connection. What started as a sweet romance soon slipped into an unhealthy dynamic, something Anvio feared yet couldnโt turn away from. He felt truly seen beyond his guarded walls but soon realized it was a facade. Anvio quietly reflects in this track as he walks underneath the moonlight in the music video. Chill beats carry out the moodiness and emotional weight. โIโll wait for you / Cause itโs you Iโm drowning into,โ he sings, illustrating the push-and-pull cycle such a connection can have.
HYO – โYESโ
โCan you feel it?โ The Y2K era is calling. HYO of legendary K-pop group Girlsโ Generation is here to save summer with her latest banger โYES.โ This song marks her first release since her pop-funk English single โRetro Romanceโ last year. This track pulses with a rhythmic bass, a two-step rhythm, and blends hypnotic house vibes with HYOโs distinct pop flair. HYO exudes flirty charm and confidence. The lyrics serve as an elevation mantra knowing sheโs an โitโ girl: โI got a face like that / โฆ / Got a waist like that.โ Her music video has minimalistic scenes that pop with each outfit change, dance move, and on-screen graphics. โYESโ will have you saying yes to all the party invites for the rest of the summer.
Jackson Wang – โMade Me a Manโ
Jackson Wang has returned with MAGICMAN 2, the successor to his album MAGIC MAN, which he released in 2022. The eleventh track on the album โMade Me a Manโ is a melancholic guitar ballad that strips away Wangโs mask, revealing a completely vulnerable side to him. Lyrics like โYou made me a manโ and โTake off the past, there’s no going back / Takะต off the mask, it ain’t gonna lastโ imply that his past experiences and the light present as a guiding force have shaped him as the person he is today. In the music video, Wang is seen walking through a pink field on a sunny day. He is costumed in his Magic Man character and gets thrown into a greyscale night where he is seen lurching forward through flashing lights. Cait Lin ๅฑ็ณ – โStand Stillโ
Cait Lin ๅฑ็ณ is baring her soul in her latest slow-burning R&B ballad โStand Still.โ This track encapsulates the feeling of capturing fleeting moments and freezing them in time. โStand still just you and me / Picture this frame frozen in time / Our love will never fade away,โ she sings.
