Five Years of Gold: Gold House Announces Fifth Annual Gold Gala
Gold House, the driving force bridging culture and industry for Asian Pacific creatives and professionals, will mark its five year anniversary this Asian Pacific American Heritage Month with the unveiling of the Gold100 list and its annual Gold Gala.
This milestone moment signals Gold Houseโs rise into a global cultural platform that champions Asian Pacific creativity, opportunity, innovation, and excellence across industries. The Gold Gala is a celebration of that achievement, regarded as the most-watched multicultural celebration of Asian Pacific culture.
The Gold Gala will take place on May 9, returning to the historic Music Center in downtown Los Angeles, one of the largest performing arts centers in the United States. At the heart of the evening is the Gold100 List (formerly the A100), honoring 100 of the most impactful Asian Pacific culture makers, with the list set to be revealed earlier on May 1.
This yearโs theme A New Gold World embodies a resonant call to build shared abundance in an era increasingly defined by contract. The theme is emblematic of Gold Houseโs step into a new chapter, with an announcement of a logo rebrand at the beginning of the year, reflecting the institutionโs continuing evolution. As Gold House noted in their announcement, โThis new identity reflects who weโve become: not just a house you visitโbut a home you build from. Gold House is a platform where culture shapes global opportunity.โ
Golden Guest List
The annual Gold Galaโs extensive guest list echoes that aspirational vision, hosting over 650 guests of leaders and changemakers across film, television, sports, fashion, music, and media. Among them are award-winning talent and filmmakers such as the Sinners team, including Oscar winning director Ryan Coogler alongside producer Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, cinematographer Autumn Durald, and actress Li Jun Li. Maggie Kang, director of the yearโs biggest animated phenomenon Kpop Demon Hunters will be in attendance, as well as voice actors Arden Cho and EJAE.
Screen veterans like Jet Li and Ming-Na Wen will join a new generation of talent including Lana Condor, Manny Jacinto, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. Actors Anna Cathcart and Gia Kim (XO Kitty), Elizabeth Yu, Maria Zhang, and Ian Ousley (Avatar: The Last Airbender) will be arriving amid breakout roles in their respective series. The Pitt writer and producer Simran Baidwan will join alongside actresses Kristin Villanueva and Supriya Ganesh, following the success of the showโs second season.
Beyond film and television, the Gala brings together leading figures from sports, fashion, music, and digital culture. Olympic skier Eileen Gu and gymnast Sunisa Lee will be attending alongside basketball trailblazer Jeremy Lin. The fashion sphere will be represented by standout designers such as Kim Shui and Prabal Gurung, while music artists such as Mark Tuan and Thuy, both of whom have built international followings across pop and R&B, will also be in attendance.
The evening will further be joined by creators such as the iconic Eugene Lee Yang, drag queens Plastique Tiara and Nymphia Wind, and TIME Kid of the Year honoree Tejasvi Manjoy for her programming initiative to protect seniors from cybercrime.
As Gold House enters its fifth year, the Gold Gala solidifies itself as a landmark gathering and an expression of cultural momentum. In a time of unprecedented and booming visibility for Asian and Pacific Islander creatives, entrepreneurs, and activists โ culture is being shaped before our eyes, from the home to the global stage.
