SB19 – โ€œVISAโ€

P-pop royalty, SB19, make a statement with their latest single, โ€œVISA.โ€ This song arrives on the heels of their monumental Simula at Wakas era which scored tons of accolades and a world tour. With this newfound streak of success, SB19 set out to create a song that is not only a danceable hit, but culturally and socially relevant. Behind its bold brass and celebratory-like melodies, the song serves as a critique on the struggles of Philippine visa applications. Visa denials have been greatly affecting Filipino athletes, artists, and overseas workers from fulfilling duties abroad. Even for seasoned talents like SB19 who are putting Filipino excellence on the global forefront, no one is immune to the systemic barriers affecting visa approvals.

They express their frustrations in the chorus: โ€œNo effect, still no impact (none! none! none!) / No matter what I do (what is it then? what?!) / Maybe all I really need is a VISA / I guess for now, my success is โ€˜to follow.โ€™โ€ The music video echoes this sentiment, where SB19 are faced with comedic setbacks as they undergo their visa interview alongside a staggering number of applicants. The video also features signature Filipino iconography like a jeepney ride and the โ€œpogi poseโ€ as the point choreography. Now in their seventh year of activities, SB19 prove that they are not only performers, but cultural trailblazers.

If a certain someone from your past is trying to reconnect post-Valentines season, just know youโ€™re not alone with Myles Lloydโ€™s latest single, โ€œDMC!โ€ The Montreal-based R&B artist advises โ€œThose days are gone / You had your chance / Let me move on / Donโ€™t come around / Donโ€™t waste my time.โ€ The track is a reimagining of his breakout hit, โ€œDrive Me Crazy,โ€ which made unexpected waves in South Korea โ€” including a spot on South Koreaโ€™s Top 200 charts and a co-sign from famed boy group ENHYPEN. Myles Lloyd drew inspiration from K-pop and breathed new life into the already-beloved track.

โ€œSeeing all the love coming out of Korea really reignited my passion for the high energy feeling that K-pop brings,โ€ Lloyd shared in a press release. โ€œI went back and revisited a lot of the songs I used to love and discovered some newer artists along the way like Karencici, JUNNY, and GEMINI. Even though it felt like a long shot, I knew I had to find a way to bring them all together on one record.”

To make this remix all the more special, Myles Lloyd is joined by GEMINI, Karencici, and JUNNY โ€” who have all made their respective mark in South Korea with their R&B influenced music similar to Myles Lloyd. The synergy between the four artists is seamless atop the melodic R&B beat. Whether youโ€™re protecting your peace, or simply just looking for a smooth track to vibe to, โ€œDMCโ€ is here to deliver!

Breakthrough fifth-generation girl group Hearts2Hearts makes their 2026 return with the bubbly and confident, โ€œRUDE!โ€ This single continues the house-infused pop sound that decorated their previous releases. โ€œRUDE!โ€ features brighter textures than the sleek, โ€œFOCUS,โ€ yet this new release takes on a more refined image than the colorful โ€œSTYLE.โ€ A press release describes the song as โ€œa new dimension to the groupโ€™s evolving sound.โ€ The octet are oozing with playful charm in both the song and music video โ€” emphasizing the importance of staying true to oneself. They affirm in the dreamy pre-chorus: โ€œTo those looks I say, โ€˜Hate me?โ€™ / No matter what they say, Canโ€™t change me / Iโ€™m good just the way I am / I shine the brightest when Iโ€™m myself.โ€

Hearts2Hearts debuted the single at their โ€œ2026 Hearts2Hearts FANMEETING <HEARTS 2 HOUSE>โ€ which took place on February 21 and 22 in Seoulโ€™s Olympic Hall. This was a milestone for the team as it signified their very first fanmeeting event. โ€œRUDE!โ€ arrives on the cusp of the teamโ€™s first anniversary on February 24 and an upcoming North American showcase junket beginning in March. With the year off to a triumphant start for members JIWOO, CARMEN, YUHA, STELLA, JUUN, A-NA, IAN, and YE-ON; Hearts2Hearts continually proves to be a K-pop act worth watching in 2026.

Filipino lover boy Zack Tabudlo is back with the new single, โ€œTunay,โ€ featuring hip-hop artists Robledo Timido, Nateman, and Paul N Ballin. A modern take on panliligaw, or courtship, โ€œTunayโ€ focuses on the sincerity and respect needed to prove oneโ€™s worth to their partnerโ€™s family. The track is written, produced, and mixed entirely by Tabudlo, proving his musical prowess. The featured artists, Robledo Timido, Nateman, and Paul N Ballin, each take a verse to express their take on love. With Tabudlo on the chorus, the four young artists describe love as earnest, patient, and sincere.

The music video feels as though itโ€™s straight out of a 2000s romcom, from the Y2K styling to the vivid color grading. Tabudloโ€™s friends try to woo three neighborhood girls, only to be turned away by their Tito (uncle) at every attempt. Eventually, after Tabudlo goes to the door, they prove their worth. In an end-credits style scene, Tabudlo and his friends enjoy a meal with the girls and their Tito. Lighthearted and endearing, โ€œTunayโ€ is the perfect track for reminding yourself that true love is not just found, but built.

PP Krit feat. Galchanie – โ€œGuilty Pleasureโ€

Image courtesy of PP Krit Entertainment & YUPP!

Girl crush singer-songwriter Galchanie and multi-hyphenate superstar PP Krit team up for the ultimate sexy anthem, โ€œGuilty Pleasure.โ€ The Thai pair teased fans weeks ago when they posted in the studio together and the final track delivers on the seductive, playful energy that both artists are known for.

Written by Galchanie and produced by Mayojames, โ€œGuilty Pleasureโ€ is a sensual R&B-tinged pop track with still enough bounce to get you dancing. The lyrics tap into that relatable, almost universal experience of knowing that someone isnโ€™t the best for you but you just canโ€™t stay away.

The song is written from that slightly dangerous headspace of โ€œThe closer we get / the further my mind goes / I lose control of my heart and act without thinking.โ€ The lyrics are only amplified by PPโ€™s charm and smooth vocals at the start and Galchanieโ€™s sharper, more direct delivery when she comes in. That push-pull is the whole song. One second itโ€™s โ€œdonโ€™t look at me like that,โ€ the next itโ€™s tell me you feel it too.

Fair warning: if youโ€™re in your feelings about a situationship, this is not your late-night soundtrack. Put the phone down and go to sleep. Trust us.

Leigh Anne – โ€œGoodbye Goodmorningโ€

After two years of working on her craft, Leigh-Anne Pinnock has debuted her new album โ€œMy Ego Told Me.โ€ With over 12new tracks, including fan favorite singles โ€œDead and Gone,โ€ โ€œBeen a Minute,โ€ and โ€œMost Wanted,โ€ the singer establishes her own sound through culture, community, and love. Among the tracks on the album, โ€œGoodbye Goodmorningโ€ stands out the most with a sultry, welcoming guitar riff. The song feels seductive, with Leigh-Anne singing โ€œOoh, I know I won’t feel this when it’s over / but I want you right now,โ€ and โ€œCause I hate it when we fight all day, make love all night / then we wake up like it’s all alright.โ€ The track carries influences of young Rihanna and Aaliyah.

With Leigh Anne credited as one of the writers and Alex Goldblatt being part of the producing team, the song captures its storyline and mood through electric guitar solos, sharp drum hits, and Leigh-Anne’s smooth vocals.

After her successful career with legendary girl group Little Mix, Leigh-Anne has continued to see success as a solo artist with hits such as โ€œMy Loveโ€ and โ€œDonโ€™t Say Love.โ€ Now independent with her artistry, the album feels personal and true to her identity. As part of the albumโ€™s promotion, the singer is touring around the U.K. and EU in April 2026 to share the love behind โ€œMy Ego Told Me.โ€ Despite the time that has passed, Leigh-Anne is a true testament of what the future of music looks like, and definitely someone you should have on your radar this year.

Kento Nakajima – โ€œLIGHTNINGโ€

After the incredible wordplay and euphoric feeling that his lead single โ€œXTCโ€ brought us at the beginning of the year, Kento Nakajima returns with his second studio album, IDOL1ST. The digital album consists of 14tracks, including hits such as โ€œIDOLIC,โ€ โ€œXTC,โ€ and โ€œMONTAGE,โ€ as well as two updated covers, โ€œKare-Kano!! (ver.2.0)โ€ and โ€œSHE ISโ€ฆLOVE (ver.2.0),โ€ songs he originally wrote while being part of the boy band Sexy Zone.

Among the vibrant sounds on the album, one of the standout tracks is โ€œLIGHTNING.โ€ Opening as if weโ€™re entering a video game, the fast-paced tempo matches the songโ€™s lyrics, which reassure a significant other that they will always have someone by their side: โ€œNo matter where you are, donโ€™t worry / Iโ€™ll be the lightning that greets you,โ€ and โ€œEvery time you run, every time you sparkle / The world will be illuminated, dazzling.โ€ A modern love song with a hint of city pop elements, the track complements the albumโ€™s ongoing momentum and makes us want to dance the night away in a city where we, too, feel like weโ€™re shining for the world.ย
