TOMORROW X TOGETHER Give A Taste of “Heaven” With New EP “The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY”
TOMORROW X TOGETHER, also known as TXT, are back with a brand new EP The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY released on November 4. The five-member Gen Z icon group has just wrapped up their world tour ACT: PROMISE with three encore shows in Seoul from November 1 to 3. Now, with the release of their seventh mini album, they’re ready to meet MOA, their fans, in a fresh new light while continuing to build upon their ever-evolving lore.
Building A Sanctuary
Following their recent release of minisode 3: TOMORROW, the five boys — SOOBIN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN, and HUENING KAI — are ready to take us on yet another vibrant journey. We see in The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE the boys struggling with the turmoils of love, running away from reality to their Neverland in The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION. In The Name Chapter: FREEFALL, the boys wrestle with reclaiming their past selves and discovering their true identities after falling from Neverland. Now that they’ve found themselves, TXT are back to reconnect with fans in this newest chapter, reigniting the heartfelt bond in the memory of a promise made under a starlit sky in The Dream Chapter: STAR’s “Nap of a Star.” It’s the vow to stay together, no matter the challenges and changes that come with growing up.
The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY continues the team’s narrative lore and dives deep into the universal language of love. The album is brought to life through four distinct concepts, each one painting a different side of love’s journey, from the bold and adventurous to the tender and comforting. The KNIGHT concept gives a modern twist to the classic romantic trope of the prince on a white steed — except now, it’s motorcycles that replace the noble steeds, all wrapped up in the glossy, high-fashion vibes of a runway magazine. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen, the SAVIOR concept plays out like a captivating novel, showing how love’s warmth can thaw even the coldest heart. Meanwhile, the LOVER concept bursts with the thrill of fresh romance, capturing the excitement of preserving memories like precious treasures in a keepsake box. Finally, the ANGEL concept shows the boys as comforting, charming boyfriends, wrapped in the cozy warmth of home. Think soft smiles, soft lighting, and all the heart-fluttering feels but with angel wings.
Moments of Love
The Star Chapter: Sanctuary kicks off with the track “Heaven,” unleashing a dazzling fusion of pop and disco rhythms that’ll have you floating on cloud nine from the very first beat. This track encapsulates the breathtaking feeling of falling in love at first encounter, blending nostalgia with fresh energy. As HUENING KAI sings, “Oh my God, a love song that won’t stop / I met you and felt the warmth of the world,” his voice conveys the pure excitement and wonder of discovering someone who feels like destiny. This track is not just about the music; it’s a personal message to their ever-supportive MOAs. With lyrics co-written by YEONJUN, SOOBIN, and TAEHYUN, each member’s contribution adds a unique layer to the love they’re expressing.
Of course, the next step in falling in love is imagining a future together, and the boys beautifully capture that feeling in their title track, “Over the Moon.” The track immerses you in an exhilarating sense of anticipation, where the world feels endless, and love seems boundless. SOOBIN’s angelic falsetto in the post-chorus is pure magic — brief but breathtaking as he softly sings, “Over the moon / Over the stars.” It’s a moment that pulls you in, as if floating weightlessly in a dream. The song itself mirrors that sensation — vibrant and warm, like the gentle embrace of summer rain that kisses your skin and leaves you feeling alive. The boys express the joy and thrill of envisioning a shared future, a world where love lifts them higher, and every moment feels like a beautiful dream come true. The group also gave fans a treat on the last day of their encore concerts in Seoul, performing the song ahead of its official release.
The music video for “Over the Moon” captures TXT’s whirlwind journey through love with a dreamy, romantic flair. Each member radiates soft, love-struck vibes, their expressions as warm and heart-fluttering as the song itself. Set amidst wedding backdrops bursting with symbolism, the visuals dive deep into their emotions. Overflowing bathtubs? It’s their feelings, pouring out uncontrollably. Running through a wedding venue and basking in a gentle daytime rain? That’s carefree joy, love in its purest form. One standout moment features HUENING KAI, hands covered in ladybugs — a playful nod to love and luck. In another scene, a water droplet rises and hovers from SOOBIN’s outstretched hand, echoing their deepening affection with poetic flair. Between stylish fits, vibrant sets, and whimsical details, the video is all about falling deeper in love.
The choreography for “Over The Moon” also brings the exhilaration of falling in love to life. During the chorus, the members stretch their arms out like they’re soaring through the sky, fully embracing the joy of reuniting with “you” And when they sing “Whisper my name,” they tap their ears — giving a cheeky nod to the iconic “Call my name” move from The Dream Chapter: Magic’s “9 and Three Quarters (Run Away)” choreography. This dance not only nails the vibe of The Star Chapter but also tosses a wink to their past, keeping the threads of TXT’s K-pop story tightly woven together.
Ride or Die
“Danger” flips the vibe, leaving behind the soft, airy mood of the previous tracks and diving headfirst into the intensity of deepening emotions. Capturing the rush of being on the edge, the boys are swept up in an obsessive thrill that’s both exhilarating and dangerous. YEONJUN’s husky whisper at the start sets the stage for this throwback to early 2000s R&B-pop, giving it an irresistible edge. The lyrics — penned by YEONJUN, TAEHYUN, and BEOMGYU — explore the addictive, no-escape kind of love that makes your pulse race. YEONJUN’s rap, “You’re my ride or die, I don’t hesitate / My heart overtakes my reason,” adds a dose of raw, unfiltered passion.
In the reggaeton track “Resist (Not Gonna Run Away),” TXT fully embrace the rocky path of love they’ve chosen, charging forward with unwavering determination to protect it. No strangers to infusing Afrobeat influences into their music — seen in tracks like “Tinnitus (Wanna be a rock)” and “The Killer (I Belong to You)” — they bring a global flair to their sound. Leaning into their KNIGHT concept, the lyrics are a powerful declaration of devotion as TAEHYUN passionately sings, “Only you, the one and only / Will make me live / So I’ll handle it, next to you.” In this chapter of their love story, the boys are ready to stand by love, no matter the cost.
A Full Circle Moment
Cooling down the fervor, mid-tempo R&B track “Forty-One Winks” tenderly explores the quiet intimacy of love’s small, unforgettable moments — exchanges brimming with pure affection and adoration. The title draws inspiration from the phrase “forty winks,” meaning a short nap, symbolizing a rekindled connection as the boys have now awakened from their slumber. In the chorus, BEOMGYU sings, “Send a signal, forty-one winks / It’s like Morse code,” a playful callback to TXT’s enduring use of Morse code as a symbol. This secret language is a bond between TXT and MOA, transcending words to communicate something deeply meaningful. The theme first appeared in their 2019 debut track “Crown,” and resurfaced in minisode 3: Tomorrow through both its second track and the title song, “Deja Vu.” It’s a signal that resonates across time — a heartfelt connection only they can understand.
In the closing track, “Higher than Heaven,” TXT revel in the boundless joy of a life centered on love, taking that emotion to even greater heights. It serves as a full-circle moment to their opener, “Heaven,” where they first declared that love lifted them to paradise. This time, the roles shift as the members vow to carry their beloved to a place beyond even that heavenly bliss, promising an even more profound connection and journey together. The lyrics “I’ll protect eternity, our name / Together in the tomorrow that will continue dreaming” reflect TXT’s enduring commitment, calling back to “Nap of a Star,” where they once sang, “I want to be your nap so I can dream with you no matter when.” This line is not just deeply meaningful; it’s also a clever nod to their group name, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, emphasizing their dedication to facing every tomorrow as one.
Together, Forever
With The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY, TOMORROW X TOGETHER invites MOAs to experience love’s transformative journey with them. Through the EP’s progression, TXT explores love in all its dimensions — from the first dazzling spark in “Heaven” to the exhilarating daydreams of “Over the Moon,” the intense passions of “Danger,” and the steadfast devotion of “Resist (Not Gonna Run Away).” Their storytelling culminates with “Higher than Heaven,” where love reaches heights never imagined before.
Every track and concept interweaves TXT’s commitment to their evolving lore, showcasing their growth as artists and their bond with MOAs. This chapter of love is vibrant, heartfelt, and deeply immersive — a sanctuary built on shared dreams, enduring promises, and the power of connection. With this release, TXT continues to prove why they’re more than just a Gen Z icon group — they’re storytellers of love, hope, and the beautiful chaos that binds us all.
