Formed through the talent scouting program Star Hunt Academy, initiated by Philippine media conglomerate ABS-CBN, BINI have been making headlines since their debut in 2021. The eight-member girl group โ consisting of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena โ has been showing popheads around the world what it means to be a Filipina woman, true to their namesake, binibini, the Tagalog word for โyoung lady.โ Now, theyโre ready to take on Coachella and become the first Filipina act to do so.
What sounds quintessentially BINI may differ depending on who you ask. Followers since their genesis may lean more toward the dance-ready, R&B beats introduced in Born to Win. Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts are sure to bring all the culture and dynamism to the stage this year on the festivalโs Fridays. Consisting of rapper R-Shitei and DJ Matsunaga, Creepy Nuts will be setting off on a five-stop mini tour in North America, with Coachella being the starting point. Packed with talent, R-Shitei is a three-time champion at Japanโs rap battling competition, while DJ Matsunaga was the winner at the 2019 DMC World DJ Championships.ย
Many listeners know them for the sonic element they bring to the anime and manga world. This includes moments such as mentioning fan-favorite titles from Shonen Jump in their song โOtonoke,โ which also served as the theme song of DAN DA DAN. From the London underground hip-hop scene to the Coachella stage, British rapper FAKEMINK will be making waves across the desert this April. Beginning his career under the name 9090gate, FAKEMINK has been steadily growing a loyal audience by adopting a subgenre within hip-hop called โcloud rap.โ The genre initially emerged in the late 2000s to early 2010s and drew influence from trap, ambient, and new age music to create a dreamlike and ethereal atmosphere.
Known for his โmellowedโ version of the jerk microgenre, FAKEMINK grew into a viral hit in 2025 with โEaster Pink,โ which was described by Pitchfork as โbloghouse meets cloud rap.โ The rapperโs influences include Dean Blunt โ whom he perceives as the best artist of all time โ Imogen Heap, Yung Lean, and Drake. So far in 2026, FakeMink has dropped an EP titled The Boy who cried Terrified, with plans for a new studio album early this year.

Japanese singer-songwriter Fujii Kaze is another fresh face on the dessert queue. Debuting in 2019 with the digital single โไฝใชใw (Nan-Nan),โ Kaze has steadily built a global following with his fusion of pop, jazz, and R&B influences. Following standout performances at San Franciscoโs Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival in 2025 and Lollapalooza India earlier this year, Kaze is ready to bring his soulful voice to a brand new audience.ย
Adding another layer to his already diverse catalog, Kaze contributed vocals to the World Baseball Classicโs original soundtrack this March with โMy Place,โ which is a possible contender to appear in his festival set. If KATSEYEโs run at Lollapallooza last year was any indication of how music festivals can be for Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan, Manon, and Yoonchae, thereโs no doubt that Coachella will be just as natural a stomping ground as any stage theyโve been on. It shouldnโt be a surprise as theyโre coming hot off the trails of their first headlining tour. The 2026 Grammys ceremony stage, where they were the first girl group since Destinyโs Child to be nominated for Best New Artist, was also a recent witness of their showmanship.ย
Since their appropriately titled debut, their library has expanded to include 14 songs.
